Marnu looked over at his pal Vandal. The brave doggo had been such a great ally, constantly defending Marnu in times of crisis. He decided that he must show his companion how much he appreciated him. There were no bones available in the shop, so he'd have to go for the next best thing.

He then looked around the room, and saw another adventurer who wasn't doing so well. Booberella looked just as bad as Vandal did. Marnu was no doctor or mathematician, but if he had to quantify her well being, he would have estimated she was feeling 30% worse than if she were feeling at her best.

He knew that he should probably be acting out of self interest, but Marnu was a friendly frog and his heart went out to her. He decided to show her an act of kindness.

I've heard of a distant land called Hyrule, and the bats there have proven that when they are frozen or engulfed in flames, they can be quite difficult for their foes to deal with!

Marnu determines that befriending some bats is the most dramatic and theatrical option available to him.
