It was really good! I’m super excited for this.
I did try to not pay too much attention but don’t think it was that spoiler heavy.

I thought it was pretty good! I don't think it could have lived up to the hype in my head.
I personally don't think it was on the level of TDK, maybe on par with the other two in the trilogy for me. Though I will probably want to watch it again at some point to form a final opinion.

Overall I really liked it but it is easier to complain about stuff than not. I will quickly highlight the things I really enjoyed then get into a couple gripes:
- Thought the Riddler was a great character. I thought Dano did a great job.
- Ditto to Kravitz as Cat Woman. Thought she could have been a little more "grey" in terms of morality but thought she was good.
- The soundtrack was a banger. I love the music in the background. Thought it fit really well.
- While there weren't a ton of fighting scenes the ones that were in the movie were incredible. My highlight was the one in the nightclub where the only light was coming from the gun fire. Really incredible sequence.
- As someone who enjoys the grittier comic book movies I thought this fit the theme well. There were a couple quips that didn't feel forced. Even though it was 3 hours long it definitely didn't feel like it dragged at all and I thought told a pretty cohesive story.
A few gripes:
- I really loved the idea of the Riddler viewing Batman as an ally and an inspiration. During the final attack when the baddie said "I am vengeance" I thought that really hit home. However in my opinion I feel like that wasn't perfectly portrayed in the movie.
- The car chase scene was the only part of the movie that I was like okay lets wrap this up. The explosion part was pretty cool though but definitely didn't care for it.
- I feel like it was mentioned a couple times but I feel like the lack of Bruce Wayne should have been addressed more times. Bruce was not in this movie at all and while I think Pattinson did a good job portraying a broken Bruce, I think that needed to be fleshed out a little more.
- I feel like they needed to make Thomas Wayne really crooked. All these politicians were tied with the mob and their sleezy lounge. "Oh yea Bruce's dad accidently got a reporter killed". I feel like they should have leaned all in and made him fully involved with Falcone. |
Really like the universe, will be very interested in the HBO spin off shows when they come out. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

I loved the scene but I agree that it would have not really fit in the movie.
I don't know how a movie with him as a main baddy would be. But I definitely think he would make a good supporting baddy. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"
