its neither bread or a sandwhich anymore


There is no hotdog on the bun. It is simply a bun that was designed for a hotdog used for other purposes

I mean it's a strict dictionary definition to a general feeling.

Like by definition a hotdog is a sandwhich. By definition garlic bread is ____ bread with garlic and butter.

But a hot dog is treated as something different, and garlic bread is treated a bread.
