I didn’t play the first one but watched the cut scenes kind of like a movie and it was great. Not sure if I’ll do the same or play it this time. I’m not sure the gameplay really excites me but obviously that gets you more invested in the story. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

I’ve heard it’s very violent. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

I didn’t play the game but I watched a play through. I skipped through most of the gameplay but still tried to catch some of the character moments.

Maybe as someone who didn’t play the game and truly get connected to Ellie, but she kind of sucks. Like again I’m sure this is because I didn’t play but like the body count on what Ellie took and what Abby took is very staggering differences. And Abby still let them go a second time.
The story structure was interesting. I don’t it worked that well. It was tough to really engage with Owen and Mel when you knew they were going to die. Yara dying was pretty sad that. I did really like Manny’s character though.
In the end I thought it was going to be a nice clean bow but they had to throw one dark twist. Made me like Ellie less.
The gameplay looked repetitive and tedious. I don’t think I would have enjoyed all that stealth gameplay. |
