I bought this the other day, it was a few dollars off. Haven't gotten around to play for it. I also have like 5 other games I haven't played yet. Probably will bump it up on the queue to after I finish GOT. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

So I finally started this. It took me a while to start it since I don't really relate to a teenage girl photographer but it was actually really good. The whole twist is pretty interesting and lets me Double Guess all my decisions (:
|
Ratted out Nathan. Kind of crazy that chick ended up being your best friend.
Comforted the mean girl. Idk because I would be a consider photographer teenage girl.
Defended Kate. I really didn't want to but she made me feel so guilty for not doing it so I did.
Defended Chloe. The step-dad is pretty creepy. I definitely didn't feel like covering my tracks when I snooped through his stuff. He's GOTTA KNOW SOMEONE IS COMING FOR HIM!
Also keep in mind I replayed these decisions like 5 times before eventually making up my mind.
The thing that is really cool about this game is how open it is and how much exploring you could do (like how you were supposed to know that girls birthday. I just guessed it right). Its kind of overwhelming but it is fun if you are in the mood. |
I have a few hours before I have another responsibility so I will see about knocking out another episode. Seems like it only goes up from here.

Plus was I the only one that thought it was a dick move that we kick of just ditched Warren as he got the shit kicked out of him. |

Pretty intense shit.
I told kate to wait for more proof.
I answered her call.
I tried to shoot frank. I figure Chloe is going to die by either Nathan or Frank depending on this choice.
I saved Kate's life. It was pretty intense. Happy I actually got props for answering her call.
Blamed Nathan. I think David is probably a good guy. I bet it's Mr. Jefferson.
For the little stuff I watered the plant, left the link on the mirror, accepted warrants invite, refused the vortex club thing, helped warren in science and told david on mr. Jefferson.
So crazy, so we'll done. I'll be interested to see how much differs (like if Kate survives the series). Loving it so far |

I answered the mom and she took a step closer. I guess the bible verse question was for all the marbles. I also didn't erase the link so those stock reassurance questions might have made a difference. I was all about the fighting back against the bullies must have worked. |

So I did this in pieces so the first stuff I kind of forgot a bit.
Main decisions
I left the money: I was pretty pissed at myself. I usually like to try both options just to see the immediate results and then decide. So I took the money then made Chloe leave it, however I think I tried to rewind too early so it told me I couldn't, then I thought it was some twist so I ended up leaving the money. Oh well it was apparently going to a good cause.
I kissed Chloe. DUH. The sexual tension between the two was insane. It was weird since they are cartoons and all, but they are 18 so its not that weird.
I saved Frank's dog. I wanted to throw it on the highway because I already tried to shoot him, but I just couldn't bring myself to doing it. Maybe if it was his cat.
Chloe has David's gun (i.e I tried to shoot Frank). I wasn't a huge fan of trying to shoot the guy but I liked the idea of Chloe having David's gun better.
I took Chloe's side in the argument. I agree with David, and don't think David is that bad of a guy but I mean I want to get in Chloe's pants so you gotta do what you gotta do.
Small things: I helped Alyssa. I missed last episodes, but it is pretty fun to have the little side mission every day. I also warned the homeless women and took the picture in the past. Everything else I missed.
OVERALL: I knew the real world was going to get screwed up when I changed the past. I almost didn't want to (not that I had a choice). Interesting that I am now a popular girl. Wonder what happened to Kate/Rachel etc. I thought Chloe was going to be dead so atleast she's alive. She also seems a lot happier than other Chloe.
Kind of annoyed, because all the other decisions are now pointless. We'll see how this factors into the story. I am sure they do a good job but for know I am interested.
ALSO, when we were sneaking into the school and Chloe scared me, I legitimately jumped. She's such an asshole. |
Redster, be sure to give us episode by episode commentary. I hate being the last person to play games. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

OH SHIT IT WAS MR. JEFFERSON. I did note that it was sketchy that he was being presented as a suspect but after all the crazy stuff we found in the barn I had kind of just assumed it was Nathan.
Rachel Amber being dead was kind of sad, it was the way it had to be really, but all the optimism that I showed Chloe actually made it seem like she was a live.
I am glad I changed the past. I didn't kill Chloe but she was definitely pretty unhappy and Chloe>William. Still kind of messed up though.
I let Warren beat the crap out of Nathan. Mostly because Chloe got the gun, and well two guns are better than one.
I had Chloe wound Frank, mostly because I had already done it three times and didn't feel like doing it again. I honestly would have kept him dead, but it also would mean the dog would be dead so I passed. I tried to shoot him and now had Chloe shoot him in the leg, dude must be terrified as us.
I warned Victoria, because she's p. cool. Even if she can be a bitch. Small missions I helped Allysa, was able to crack David's code (but not Nathan's) and was helped by Kate.
Seriously though, that stuff was so screwed up. I am just not sure how it is connected to the end of the world, two moons crap.
Oh ya and Chloe got shot at the end, hopefully I can save her if not this is like the fourth time (if you count alternate realities) she should have died so its about time. I'll always remember that kiss. |
Will probably finish it tonight. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

I liked the Rubik Clue's part that was pretty fun.
It also took me forever to realize that I had to rewind to push the motor off the barn to open the padlock |

Well dang.

It was an interesting episode but didn't feel very interactive. I absolutely hated the dream sequence and going through the maze and avoiding the flash lights. The montage of all mine and Chloe's moments were pretty great though. Really the only interactive parts were around the diner and the fight between David and Jefferson.
The story tied up pretty nice though. I liked having to go through all those different pictures. I thought it was pretty clear progression. Despite all the time jumping it remained pretty clear to me what was going on.
As for the minor parts. I didn't really take the time to save people since I figured I'd be going back in time anyway. Didn't really think about the storm still happening. I kept killing Alyssa so I gave up on saving her. I saved the fisherman though, that was it. I lied to David about Chloe. Figured if I had my way she'd be safe.
And that leads me to the big decision.
I scarified Chloe. It was tough, but I couldn't let others like Warren, Kate, David (who is probably one of my favorite characters) and even Hayden go to die. The funeral scene at the end made me sad though I was kind of wondering why all of blackwell was there since most of them didn't really have much of a relationship with her before the series.
Afterwards I was kind of surprised to see it was almost 50/50 however I am sure people were like me and replayed it to see the alternative ending. Wasn't quite as powerful. I think it would have been better to see some (not all but a few) of our friends dead. For all I know Joyce, Warren and David could be kicking it sippin a smoothie and eating pancakes somewhere.
I wonder how they'll do it differently next time since leading it up to either going back to the start or not would be kind of repetitive. |
5/5 very fun. Would recommend. | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"
