Man new era survivor has soured me so much. This felt like such a blast from the past. Really enjoyed the entire episode, the challenges, the characters, everything.
- I don’t know the Australian version of celebrities but it seems like the athletes are like legit superstars? Like I feel like the basketball players we had (Cliff/Scot) were just like above average and the football players were trash. Jeff Kent was a superstar though. Maybe they were hyping them up though.
- I do remember seeing Russell was on a season. Man I feel like he’s the character that most foreigners view Americans, cocky and thinking they are better. He was absolutely brutal and hope he doesn’t last long.
- the reward challenge to kick off the season was great. I love the head to head segmented challenges. I was cool to see all of the different strategies.
- immunity challenge felt more modern survivor. It was fine. Damien beasting the end was great.
- on the champions, I don’t have any super strong feelings yet. Damien is pretty cool, and I definitely ship Sam (dark matter dude) And Monica. So hopefully working with Russell doesn’t sink them.
- on the contenders, I actually liked Matt at the start but holy crap that had to be one of the worst one episodes collapses ever. Like Zane level bad. Basically calling out all the girls at tribal. I was super happy he left because…
- Steve cannot be a real person. His “subtle” looking for the idol was so good. Him calling Johnathon, “Jeff” was so good too. I do wish he was a little more endearing to the others because I doubt he lasts another tribal.
- other thoughts. I like Robbie, Paige and Benji on that tribe too just from first impressions. Also the one girls occupation is “pro skater’s wife.” I thought that was funny.

Fun start to the season! 80 minutes was a lot but hopefully it’ll keep me entertained and I’ll be able to keep up!

Good riddance. Hearing his shit all season would have got old quick. Good on the girls for teaming up and taking him out. Partial Credit to him though, he almost pulled it off and it was probably smart to try to bluff it. No sense to play it just to extend his stay 3 days.
Reward challenge was so good. One of my favorites of all time. The Robbie/Matt rivalry is great. |

Australians are assholes! No hesitation to voting out Damien when Jackie clearly sucks and has been more of a challenge liability.
Sam with an all time confessional about how much Jackie sucks. Like him and Moana on the champions.
Maybe it’s the longer episodes but I don’t mind the backstory stuff as much. Also they aren’t always super sad either, Tegan’s last episode was literally just I am a mom and miss my kids.
Love the challenges. The soccer one was fun, reminds me of the classic handball one in Nicaragua. The immunity challenge was super creative, just willing to take risks on challenges is nice.
The idol twist was fun too. Though it would have been better if they were actually in a position to contemplate throwing it. |

Master class blindside by the girls. Wish it wasn’t at poor Stevie’s expense though. He was such a great character. We’ll see if it was the right move to take a shot at Zack without delivering the final bullet.
I like the parents alliance. Hope they stay in the middle.
The reward challenge was brutal, not even worth brushing your teeth. Always a fun watch though. |

Today I learned that all AUS seasons have porta-potties for the contestants. Something about needing them for legal reasons to be able to film, must be an Australian law to provide them

Jenna boot made me sad. I was right on the edge of being bored and being sad. Paige must really freaking suck if they were really considering keeping someone ON CRUTCHES.

A DISHWASHING CHALLENGE. I was glad I didn’t have a drink in my mouth or I would have spit it out.
The reward challenge was pretty boring but watching Zach rage was fun. Anita with her Paige hate is almost as ridiculous.
Champs are kind of bullies, basically forcing Moana to stay to get Shane’s idol out. Wish she would have kept it to herself. Even my beloved Sam was kind of a dick. Jenna and Mo being forced out due to injury/sickness back to back is a crippling blow.
It’s crazy the numbers are even, feels like Champs are up 3 members.
Top 5 rooting interest for Sam, Robbie, Benji, Heath, and Paige. Still crazy that 18 are left. |

It's so weird that this episode is like 20 minutes shorter. Feels like a netflix show (still longer than any regular survivor episode).
They showed way too much of Brian's Ass.
The second Big Money Benji said he was playing with a bunch of Amatuers I thought he was TOAST.
So we made it 6 episodes without a BS curveball. I guess good they got all the sick people out of the way. Good they told them before they vote. I feel like they've been told after at times?
ZACK'S VOTING CONFESSIONAL AFTER THE ENTIRE TRIBAL WAS ABOUT HIM BEING AN ASSHOLE. LMFAO THIS MAN.
Anita is so annoying. She's soared up my leaderboard for most annoying. |

LETS GO HEATH! I thought for sure he was going to get confident and not play it. Benji's poker face didn't work. Hopefully Anita gets wrecked in the challenge and Tegan can come back.
Still crazy that after the challenge there are still going to be 17 people left in the game. It's like a Survivor season barely started. I think thats what I struggled with in season 3 and 4 was just how many episodes there are. Though now that I can watch 2 in a night that kind of helps just knock it out. |

The whole lying is the cardinal sin is a little annoying. But it is still better than the ultra strategy of the modern US seasons.
Zack getting booted unanimously was pretty great. So many foot in mouth situations for him. And my boy Benji lives to see another day. I am thinking they are banking on a swap next round. |

Monika face planting again and again was rough to watch but also hilarious. Nacho twist let’s go Benji! Can’t believe it doesn’t seem like anyone else saw the clue.
Thought he was gonna go down with the knowledge but glad he stuck around. I liked Paige at the start but she ended up kind of sucking. |

Swapping half way through the season is ROUGH. The look on Tegan's face was heartbreaking.
Samuel is so funny, the kissy noises at Benji were classic.
Kind of nice to have a challenge that wasn't super physical. Can't believe Shane and Shonee almost won that would have been a good story.
After the challenge Johnathon was like "Shonee you seem emotional" and instead of a sob story and she just said no. Could you imagine if someone wouldn't have taken the bait from Jeff. He would have lost it.
So pumped that Teagan survived. Big blindside on Jackie. Brian being like "I didn't know." Like of course you didn't you are a big dummy. |

That was a fun challenge. Liked the puzzle. Matt's ribs were like poking out of his body that was actually pretty gross.
Can't believe Tegan almost got another lifeline. No way Benji was going to save her though. Kind of a brutal twist though. Robbie and Benji such sleezeballs lol. Tegan can join Moana and Jenna on the returnees tribe.
Half way done. Crazy feels like its been so long.
