Dana Nessel for Attorney General of Michigan

I think it's only fair that she has to prove she doesn't have a penis.

I live about 25 minutes from Lansing and know some of the parents of the girls that this sick fuck did some of this shit to.

To hear this described by some of victims is totally disturbing, but the thing to me that is even more disturbing is that some of the girls told coaches and such what he was doing back in 1997. Yes 20 years ago, people did nothing about it nor did their do diligence to determine that 'Hey, sticking your finger inside a girl to massage her pelvis is perfectly normal to treat a sore groin.'

This is only the beginning of the down fall from this in my opinion. I hope that each person that was made aware of this and did absolutely nothing is charged with something as well.

The best part imo was when she read Nassar's letter about the mental abuse he was being subjected to. Then basically told him, she didn't care.

He’s a fucking monster and MSU covered it up for 20 years. Everyone involved needs to burn in hell

It's not just MSU, it's also the USOC, the local gymnastic clubs that he worked for as well. Some officials from the USOC already resigned, which makes them look guilty as hell too. Should start an over under on the number of people that lose their job because of this, let alone get prosecuted.

Let the Michigan State purge begin.

Down so far
MSU President - Lou Anna K Simon
MSU Athletic Director - Mark Hollis
MSU Faculty Athletic Rep - Sue Carter (whatever that does, but she is also a Journalism Professor)

this is only the beginning.

So, will criminal charges be brought against any of them? Or will they just lose their jobs?

I think criminal charges may not be far behind for some, I don't see Simon or Hollis had direct knowledge of what happened, or were blatantly ignorant and ignored the complaints, like others. They are bowing to the pressure to resign. I forgot about the women's Gymnastics coach that was suspended last year too. There is no way she returns either and I could see he facing criminal charges.

Amazing that after what happened at Penn State that other schools wouldn't handle things properly. I'd even expect a little over-zealousness in handling cases.

Guess not.

Agreed, plus with the link that Ahoda posted about the other Sexual Assault claims regarding football and basketball, which will no be picked apart with a fine tooth comb.

What did Penn State get in punishment from the NCAA? 3-4 year, no bowl games, reduced scholarships?

Any reason to think Michigan State won't receive AT LEAST the same punishment? I'd think moreso tbh

The one issue I see comparing this to Penn State is that the offender there was a football coach. At MSU you are talking a doctor of many teams most of them womens teams, so I'm not sure how that translates in regards to post season bans and scholorships loses. Unless something comes of the Dantonio and Izzo turning a blind eye to the rape and sexual misconduct issues through the years. But I can for sure see MSU getting a larger fine, I think Penn States was around 60 million.

50 bucks says this guy gets a new trial, at the very least because the judge decided to grandstand the last few days of the trial.

I hope they cut his sentence in half. Then he'll only have to serve up to 147.5 years and not the current 235.
