I really enjoyed The Killing, and a lot of people told me to watch Top of the Lake because of it. It's at the top of the ever growing, long list of shows I need to watch. Hoping to get through a few once the holidays are over.

Started watching this tonight Spoiler + Pretty solid start. A lot of pretty strong characters already. The crazy ladies of Paradise are so weirdly funny. And Tui's dad is already a pretty great villain so far. The scene with Tui aiming the gun at him was one of the best I'm still kinda confused about some of of the relationships of the characters but I think that's kinda what they were going for? I feel like they showed a bunch of fragments in episode 1 and it'll be explained more fully later

lol, I started watching two nights ago too. I have 3 episodes left.

I finished. Really enjoyed it. It was a bit different than I was expecting, which actually made me enjoy it more. That whole small town dynamic will always baffle me.

also I want to go to NZ asap.
