I'm a big fan of the LA series, and even more so with LoK. The game was released yesterday, so I decided what the heck? and bought it on the PSN shop. The game is 15 dollars, so it's nothing too big out of my wallet. It's a pretty decent beat-em-up game. You can switch between all four elements and throw out some pretty sweet moves and combos.

You start out the game fighting some spirits in the spirit world, and then it flashes back to a week before after you finish a pro-bending minigame. A mysterious old man kidnaps you and you find that you can't bend. At all. After running around beating up Chi Blockers with your old fashioned fists, you hop on naga into another minigame running through republic city trying to avoid cars and holes in the ground. The next stage is at Air Temple Island, where you have to find four jars with spirit water to get water bending back. I won't go into too much detail, but I'm liking the game so far.

The game takes place between book two and three, giving it it's own story without making any huge plotholes. I just got earth bending back after fighting a mecha tank. I'm hoping to get fire bending next.

The game is a lot shorter than I expected. And this final boss is a total bitch to fight. I may have to replay levels just to get enough skill and money to buy power ups.

Turns out replaying levels is very worthwhile. I leveled up a few of my skills and made a bit of change, too! I'm going to wait until all my levels are maxed before I fight the boss, though.
