It was as effortlessly enjoyable as the previous three. I don’t see how anyone can hold anything major against it really. Though I can see it being a lot of people’s least favorite of the four
Fun new characters, Forky, Vincent (cracked me up), and Key and Peele’s characters were all great. And Keanu’s Duke Kaboom
Biggest gripe is we didn’t get enough of the classic characters. Not enough Slinky, that’s my BOY! Him, Rex, Hamm, Potato Heads we’re stuffed to the side which was pretty sad. Even Buzz wasn’t heavily featured
The movie felt like a side story adventure to the main TOY STORY SAGA but that’s not a bad thing really
Also the animation and visuals were outrageous. There were some scenic shots that I couldn’t believe were animated
Better than TS2 from what little I remember of it. 1-3-4-2
I liked TS3 all the way through but the ending does bump it up quite a bit for me. I don't think that's really a knock on it though, a good ending is maybe the single most important element of a movie for me. And the emotional punch it had had nothing to do with the series itself, it was more that it was a perfect portrayal of letting go of one's childhood
Sounds like they manipulated your emotions man, how DARE they!
This is finally on Disney+ now which is nice for people like me who have not yet seen it.
Not adding anything too new compared to what was already said for my thoughts. I wasn't expecting much with this at all and I went in wanting to hate Forky, based off my extremely biased opinion of fucking around with the Toy Story 4 toys that didn't sell during Christmas. But I thought it was quite good! I typically don't mind sequels and even though 3 had a perfect ending, I still think this was a good addition to the series and even more complete way to end it. I see it as 3 being Andy's ending and 4 being the toy's ending. Found it fun the whole through and the new characters were all great.
