ALL THE RAGE THESE DAYS

For those who don’t know, you subscribe to a themed box and each month (typically) you receive your box full of..whatever the theme was. It could be clothes, food, books, collectibles, etc

I’ve thought about doing Loot Crate a lot but I typically only like one or two things max per box based on what I’ve seen. It’d be a waste

Does anyone subscribe to any? Or have any you’ve been interested in?

I subscribe to two right now

Bombfell is a men’s clothing one that I’ve been enjoying a lot. I don’t love shopping and am usually pretty content with whatever I have, but spending a little bit more on this for much better quality clothes has been worth it. It’s nice too because I don’t have to pay anything until I get the items and can try them on. They also always fit perfectly which has always been my biggest issue with shopping, I’m too gangly

Bespoke Post is my other one. It’s pretty cool, each month you get to choose between twelve or so different themed boxes of...anything really. This one can be hit or miss but if I don’t like any options for the month I just skip it and pay nothing. Thinking about stopping this one for something else if I can find a good one

Oh yeah they make good gifts too. Super easy. I got everyone in my family a few months of a different one last year for Christmas, like my younger siblings had a dessert box and got gr8 desserts each month

I look at them, but I think I'm too picky to do one.

Same. I always think one or two things are cool. But it'd probably be cheaper to buy whatever separately.

Yeah I have no doubt it’d be cheaper. You’re sorta just paying a bit more for the convenience and even just for the fun of getting some stuff in a neat box, I like getting mine in each month. Plus probably shipping thrown into the mix, depends on the box

My clothes one is pricier but again it’s worth it for the convenience/quality plus the fact that they always fit (they send a tape measure and you send them your measurements)

For the Bespoke post one I tend to weigh the price of all items combined a bit more

I’d love some sorta cool movie one that sends you DVDs and maybe some collectibles or movie apparel or posters or something. As long as the movies were good

bump hello. I was looking at Loot Crate's site last week and finally decided to go for one. Just came in the mail

P cool! I only went for it because the theme (laboratory) said it included stuff from Bioshock, Westworld, and Better Call Saul so I was like oh DOPE. Perfect

Got a Bioshock Little Sister small figurine which is neat. It's perfect for the nerdy bookshelf I'm starting. Got a cool Westworld tshirt, some Spiderman prints (nice looking but whatev) and a Los Pollos Hermanos large cup

I'd say it was worth it! But I'd probably only do it on a month by month basis if I like the movie/show/game featured each month

You DIDN'T get into Fallout???

What is this heresy?

Here's a potato cam of my entire Fallout career. Me playing the first five minutes of New Vegas in character as The Butcher:

Spin hates everything

It's hard to hate something you don't even know.

That's historically like the #1 cause of hate

turns out I fucked up my subscription package and got this shipped to me by mistake. oh well!

Escape From New York is an okay art print which I'll probably put somewhere for the hell of it

Fallout is the little Fallout mascot man using a metal detector looking for loot. It's a decent sized figuring. I guess I'll throw it up on my bookshelf in advance for when I eventually play and hopefully like Fallout

Transformers is a Bumblee pin set which will go straight into the trash because I have no use for pins or Transformers

The D&D one is the only one I kinda like. It's a starter kit shirt full of all the stuff your character would start with. I'll wear it...underneath a sweatshirt probably

Still like Loot Crate but I'm just not nerdy about enough of a variety of things to warrant subscribing unless I like the sound of what's coming up
