Nicotero let it slip that it was two deaths and it was picked up real quickly that those two stopped showing up on set. I dunno how the show expected to hide it. RLY WISH THEY JUST DID IT IN THE FINALE, the deaths were all over the place for weeks. Those dummies
What they SHOULD'VE done is Abraham last year and Glenn this year. Now that would've been great. Abraham would just been like....acceptable for the season finale as far as big characters go. Then they would've hit us with Glenn right in the premiere and it would've been brutal and surprising as long as they could keep it a secret. Best of both worlds really
The episode’s title, “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be,” comes from the season 1 finale, when Dr. Jenner told Rick he might regret the day when Jenner let the group out of the Center for Disease Control.
It's really pretty brutal to see a main character just completely...destroyed like that. I had the exact same feeling during a certain head squashing death in GoT. It's pretty devastating
Also kinda surreal that that's just the end of Glenn on the show after 7 seasons. It feels weirdly anti-climactic even though it's such an iconic death and it's been built up for many months. I think it's because he died like 20 minutes into a premiere and had no staring moments leading up to it. It feels EMPTY in some sorta way
Also after catching up I think s6 was the best in awhile probably. I also think Carol's actions made no sense and the show made a really stupid mistake by killing off Denise who was great
