Most of you probably know that my laptop situation has been SHIT for ages! My first one broke...in half. Then my dad bought me the exact same kind, and surprisingly, it also broke. Each lasted like two years. My current one broke halfway through this past summer and I stole Shawn's and have been using that ever since, but that means no photoshop etc etc.

Now that I'm working again/working too much, I've got enough saved up to buy a new one. I want a good one that'll last and will be a better fit for what I need it for than these last two. That means something that isn't slow as fuck and can handle photoshop and all that

I'm not a computer whiz so I'm not sure what I'm looking for here. THAT'S WHERE YOU COME IN! More RAM? Better graphics card I think? A good CPU apparently? And a large enough screen. I dunno all the SPECS that I'm looking for whatsoever and I know several of you do, so help would be appreciated

Here's a few that've been recommended:

MacBook Pro

Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p

ASUS ROG G750JM-DS71

ASUS N56VM-AB71

ASUS Zenbook

Kinda iffy on getting a Mac, I've just never liked the feel of them but I'm sure I'd get used to it. What about Ultrabooks? Apparently they're surprisingly capable for something like this

HELP PLEASE! I wanna order one really soon, like before the week ends. Any different suggestions/amazon links would be good too. ty ty

Lenovo Y50

ASUS N550JK-DS71T

I'm kinda debating between these two right now. I've read a few different articles and these two have been mentioned a lot

I'd say this one http://www.amazon.com/N550JK-DS71T-Full-HD-Touchscreen-Laptop-Aluminum-Body/dp/B00IAA5BSS/ref=dp_ob_title_ce (same model, better specs)

o apparently you can't link to specific specs. I was referring to the 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD version

$1,300 vs $1000. Is it worth it?

Anything but the Mac, you're paying more for the same quality.

An Indian man called me to confirm my order like 20 minutes later. It was very odd. The number came up as just nine digits, no dashes between them. He asked me if I was Curtis and asked what I just ordered on Amazon

"uhhh...an Asus laptop?"
"thank you"
*click*

It was strange. HAVE I BEEN SCAMMED?????

LAPTOP RECEIVED!

On it right now. It's so different from what I'm used to. FE looks strange but I'll get used to it. So far it's incredibly fast

Hey FUCK this laptop!

It's been absolutely perfect up until the last two weeks. The screen would start going black and I'd have to restart it like 4 times to get it going again for a few hours. But since last night it won't start working again, just goes black the second I start it back up

It's under warranty so I guess I'm sending in for a new one now. PISSED OFF THOUGH

NOTHING! I've never dropped it or anything like that. It sits on my desk and doesn't move
