Speculation based on description

"Arya encounters a face from her past"
Probably Jaqen but...I want it to be Syrio!!! I loved Syrio/Arya scenes so much. I want it to be revealed that Syrio=Jaqen. That theory is great |

you don't think that it's going to be the show's version of "is there gold in the village?"
|
|
I have no idea what that is (: . I don't read the books

I think Daenery's story is pretty boring tbh! Last season it was very repetitive. Go to a city, meet a douchebag leader, free the ppl and move on. We get it
And I can't stand her HOLIER THAN THOU attitude that she's grown into. I appreciate the gradual development but I still have no interest in watching her anymore

eh! It was fine I guess. It was so PREMIER-ISH. Seemed to have no real focus and instead just caught the fans up. We bounced to pairs of characters and got quick scenes showing exactly what we would expect from them. I feel like the Walking Dead has such a big fan base that it can rely on a few badass Daryl/crossbow moments every so often to appease people, and that's exactly what Dany and her dragons remind me of (: . Dany's scenes were by far the worst. The balancing contest and the flowers were terrible
Hopefully these little characters scenes will mean something later. I assume they will. This is how I felt about the last two premiers and IIRC those opening moments panned out later. This one felt way more scattered to me though. It just felt like a big recap. They even had characters sum up exactly what had happened up to that point. Cersei literally read off a list of prior classic moments. They treated the fans like there were stupid imo
Best parts were the opening, the ending, and Oberyn's intro. Tywin's the greatest. Him melting down Ned's sword was sad but clearly a metaphor for moving past the threat of the Stark's. Tywin was great in that scene and so was the music
The end scene was great. Hound/Arya are really fun to watch and the Hound's dialogue was perfect. "The fuck's a Lommy?", only cunts name their swords, telling Polliver that he has a cunt mouth etc. The scene with Polliver at the table reminded me of something out of a Tarantino movie. Pretty tense. And the Hound driving that guys face into the knife was brutal. Arya killing Polliver was great

Scratch that, the hilarious statue of Joffrey was the best part
