The dwindling group snuck out of the ballroom. Curtis closed the double doors behind him and breathed heavily.

"What the fuck just happened?" Curtis asked. He hadn't experienced any of the paranormal events first hand until recently. Things were unraveling too far out of control for him.

"None of this...none of this was part of the instructions."

"Forget your instructions. Which way's the attic?" KC asked.

"..follow me." said Curtis.

He took the group of three throughout a winding path of hallways. Finally, he arrived at the destination.

"Paul's room?" Natalie asked.

"You'll see."

Curtis opened up the double doors and they group re-entered Paul's bedroom. The room that Korr had vanished into was still bricked up. Papers were strewn around the room and it was in total disarray.

"y r we here. theres no attic." Shadow added.

Curtis walked over to the portrait of Paul behind his bed. He stepped down on a loose floorboard and the portrait spun halfway around, revealing a hidden passage.

"o" said Shadow.

The four stepped through the passage and crept down the spaces between the walls. At the end, they stopped at a stairwell. It was a set of rotten wooden steps leading up to a horizontal trap door. The attic.

"I have to warn you...Paul left me one very specific set of instructions." Curtis said as flipped through his pocket notebook. He turned it to the final page and showed the group.

"Do NOT..
go in
the attic."
