Only six were left. Eight of them had perished so far on the journey, and there was no sign of Curtis or Jeffrey the groundskeeper.

The remaining six exited Paul's bedroom. As everyone piled through the doorway, Zersch hung back when he saw something out of the corner of his eye. It was the portrait or Paul, again. Zersch eyed it carefully for a few moments.



"Zersch, are you coming?" Natalie called. Zersch snapped out of it and met back up with the group.

Everyone piled into the hallway. A long, red carpet led down the middle. The wallpaper was elegant, but peeling from the walls. The corridor's were wide and were lined with portraits and suits of armor.

Shadow banged his head against the wall until his forehead began to bleed. KC yanked him away from the wall and back into the line. A sinister smile crept over Shadow's face.

The group reached the end of the hall. At the very end, mounted on the wall, was a grand mirror. Shadow approached and nearly smashed his head through it, but was pulled back once again.

"Left or right?" Kiwi asked the group. Everyone shrugged. They took a left and walked down the long hall.

About halfway down, KC noted a stain of blood on the wall. He looked over at Shadow's bloody, raw forehead.

"Wait a minute..." he began. The group stopped. "We were just here..."

"I think it just looks the same?" replied Kiwi.

"No I'm telling you, we were just in this hallway."

Zersch flung open a nearby doorway. It was Paul's room.

"How is that possible?!" yelled Frankenvern.

"We've seen a lot of impossible things in here." KC replied. "...we're stuck in here."

Zersch closed the door to Paul's room, shooting a final glance at that portrait on the wall. As the door closed, the eyes on the portrait shifted.



Inside of the wall, in a tight passage way, a figure stood against the wall and peered through the eyes of Paul's portrait. It was Curtis.

"They're gone." he giggled. "For some reason they came back in, but they're gone now."

Curtis wasn't alone. He was speaking to someone standing nearby in the shadows.

"I still can't believe how real you made that all look. I nearly shit my pants when Lamps was 'electrocuted' and when Perry fell. I don't know how you pulled those off." Curtis said, to no response.

"So what now?" asked Curtis.

The figure stirred in the darkness and took a step towards Curtis. He began to speak.

"Now.....we follow them."

He stepped out of the darkness and into the glow from Curtis' lantern. The light illuminated his face.

It was none other than Von Paulus.

Main Quest

A. Find something to mark the hallways with.

You have a brilliant idea. You'll find something to mark the hallways with. It worked for Hansel and Gretel. You look around and find nothing to use, until you spot someone's sack of candy. "These will do!" you say to yourself. +2 CANDIES FROM EACH FELLOW PLAYER.

B. Continue forward and only take right turns.

You walk to the end of the hall and take a right. At the very end of that hall is a large mirror, facing you. You stare at it curiously. As you turn away, your reflection stay still. It smiles. You continue to walk down the hall as your reflection shatters the mirror. It lifts a jagged piece of glass it slices into its own forearm. Further down the hall, you feel a sharp pain in your arm. You pull up your sleeve and find a large gash. You look around confused and return to the group. -15% OF CANDIES

C. Continue forward and only take left turns.

You creep down the hall, determined to find a way out. You take a left. Then another left, then another. Well that was dumb. You're back where you started. NO EFFECT.

D. Check the inside of a nearby room.

While most rooms are locked, one door is slightly ajar. You push the door halfway open and peak inside. Two glowing red eyes stare back at you and sway slowly. You feel heat emitting from the monster's breath. You freeze in your footsteps and slowly reach for the light. You flick the switch on......it's an electric room heater. The glowing eyes were simply red lights. You look around the rest of the room and find several candies littered around. +15 CANDIES

Side Quest #1

As you tip toe down the hall towards the cat, you realize a mask is dangling around its neck. You make an attempt to retrieve the mask, but the cat hisses and arches its back as you reach your hand out. Then.....it purrs. It's quite friendly! You take the mask without a problem. The cat rubs itself against your leg and follows you. +MASK

Side Quest #2

Shadow was the last to post before 7:00. +1 candy from everyone else.

Good job. +1 piece of candy for every two letters in your movie's title.
