Let’s talk productivity apps! I’m specifically interested in those silly little gamified ones where you do irl tasks and hold yourself to commitments and in return you progress in the app’s game

I’ve really ever only used one called Run Zombies Run (iirc. It was like 10 years ago). That was a running/walking one and the more you went on runs the more your character went on supply runs. I liked it. But I didn’t like it more than I dislike running!

Anyway, my pal mentioned this silly cutesy one called FINCH where you have a bird companion and raise the lil freak. The game aspect isn’t quiiite there for me, you’re just doing your tasks, getting points for them, and sending your boi on one adventure per day using those points. But there’s nothing to the adventure sadly

I’m still kinda liking it, though I fear I’ll stop using it after three days. But maybe I won’t! Who knows

Does anyone have any productivity apps that they use and like? Any recs?? Gamified ones are ideal for me over organizational ones. I’m perfectly productive without the aid of one but I still kinda like the idea and would like to enjoy one long(er) term

I’m lowkey enjoying Finch. Getting a lot of use out of the lists. I’ve got a good mix of daily repeating things that I’m trying to form better habits around + specific one time things that I have to get done on that day. Still with the game/adventure part was more involved somehow, but at least I can focus on collecting the right furniture to make my place look like a hobbit hole (:

Also the app is designed well. It’s pleasant

Huge news for the Squash-heads. It’s been 7 days so Squash is now a toddler, I hatched a new Pom-Pom companion named Poof, and we’re heading to Hawaii, goodbye Finchie Forest

Also 7 days in and I’m gonna keep things going. Productivity is UP! I must admit

Hobbit Finch is progressing so nicely, when I saw I got a cloak available to buy my eyes lit UP!

It's definitely nice for bite sized progress. I also just discovered the feature to keep a goal until it's completed which is very helpful, I like the shameful reminder every day that I haven't done something yet and it feels good to clear it when I do
