Welcome to Quackbox!
Name credit to Rodney, drawing credit to Herm
This is our official name for our silly "Trio of barnyard animal Jackbox ish" games so I can finally refer to it as something. We've done this twice now and it's something I'd like to keep doing every so often
Quackbox Season 1:
Sheep: Answer questions in the majority
Pig: Trivia questions about the host
Goat: Give unique answers
Quackbox Season 2:
Fox: Sus out the hidden traitors
Duck: Complete the drawing
Sheep 2: Answer questions in the majority
Quackbox Season 3:
Fox 2: Sus out the hidden traitors

Each season must have a set of three. Why? Cuz!
That means we need two more for this season. Sheep was always a big hit so I'd be down to bring that back a third time. Or we can think of two new ones, I'd like one new one at least
These are meant to be very fast paced. Round based games with quick turnover and not a lot of moving parts. Player size has always been unlimited so far but doesn't have to be if we have an idea for less people. Use this thread to throw out any ideas at all. You can base them on actual Jackbox games or just come up with whatever
Horse
Cow
Duck
Chicken
whatev! Just toss out any kernels of ideas and we can associate it with an animal. Or think of an animal and come up with rules around it, like Chicken could be some sorta good bluffing and betting game or something
Sound off! | |

I haven’t played Split the Room for Jackbox but it seems like it could be a good one. Basically each player is given the start of a prompt and fills in the blank to finish it in. The prompts are like would you rather questions with two answers. Then all prompts are given to all players and the answer, A or B
The goal is to try to split the room down the middle as much as possible with your prompt. You get points based on how split your prompt is
Could be fun, but I dunno about coming up with unique prompts for like 20
players. Maybe we keep the whole trying to split the player base for maximum points angle but change up what you do to get there? Idk idk, what do we think

Horse can be like the basketball Horse. Attempt something for points in the style of letters to try to spell out H.O.R.S.E. Could be intense as players inch closer and closer to spelling it. Just need…the rest of the game! How do players earn points/letters
Like I said, it’s nice to toss out small kernels of ideas like this and then see how others run with it or combine multiple ideas

Oh that Jackbox game where you come up with definitions for fake words and then vote on your favorites could be fun

I want one called Jackass or Donkey where one player is the odd person out. Like in Asshole
Either a 1 vs everyone game or a game with exactly one loser

Definitely could easily translate nonsensory to a board game. Both the text prompts and the drawing prompts. |
I'm leaning this one, I think it'd be fun
Just trying to think of how to do it. Individual? Two teams of two against each other?
If it's individual, everyone would receive a prompt and write/draw an answer. Then all would be revealed at once and each person would send the host back their guess from 1-10 per prompt and be scored. Highest score wins. But then there's no communication at all since everyone's on their own, but I guess that's fine since Sheep is no communication and Fox is a communication heavy game anyway
Or if it's teams, one person on each team would receive the same prompt but different numbers. Each prompt answer/drawing would be posted at once and each team discusses with each other...and they have to come to a consensus for the answer to every prompt? I like the discussion bit and feel like that could be fun with some zany prompts, but there also might be too much going on at once, I dunno

I think I'm leaning something like that. But what animal do we name it after
A cartoon llama's neck could make for a fun goofy spectrum graphic like the one in the game. Or the animal can have to do with the two teams aspect somehow
