Just finished the first ep. I found it kinda...awkward! The humor was mostly rough imo, like jokes wouldn't land and then the camera would linger afterwards and make it worse. The opposite of what I was complimenting Search party on actually. But I hear that's how it starts off and then it really wins you over as it goes so I have faith. Hoping everyone grows into character soon. First ep certainly wasn't awful or anything
I love Jason Sudeikis and his charm alone would be enough to keep me watching anyway. Loved his dance in the viral vid of him, straight from his Whats Up With That SNL skits, some of my favorites
Good ep for the most part outside of Nate’s roast which I hated. Kinda (: that as soon as Ted signs the divorce papers some Brit babe wanders into the show and wants to sleep with him. But whatev!
Good finale. Had a feeling they were gonna lose and that s2 would be about trying to battle back into the league. I wonder if they'll make Roy a coach next season or something
I do think it got better as it went on but it didn't reach the heights that I was really hoping it would. I didn't laugh once. Not ONCE! That's a prob!
I would probably watch s2 though, especially since it’s easy to breeze through. I love Sudeikis and since the show started to hit its stride towards the end I have a feeling s2 could improve. But good god they gotta get someone funny in that writers room
Agreed, when I talk about the show being awkward I immediately think of Nate. His reaction shots are cringey. I don’t like him or Higgins at all. I also don’t understand the point of Coach Beard, he is painfully unfunny and lame
Ted was my favorite followed by Roy for sure. I think Roy is the only non Ted standout. Keely third...I guess?? The supporting cast just does nottttt do it for me
