Sleep comes easy to you. You and your party spend a bit of gold purchasing a room at The Crayfish Inn, located just at the edge of town. The three of you bar the door from the inside for peace of mind and doze off quickly.
When morning comes, you peer out your window and spot Akmong Sus loading up provisions into his covered wagon. He calls out to the windows above and shouts to no one in particular.
"I depart within the hour! Make any final preparations needed if you wish to join me! I would not want to arrive in Langdale last if I were you..."
Akmong spins around and continues loading his provisions, his cape twirls behind him. As he carefully places a barrel into the wagon, he turns back around and shouts upwards.
"Hark! One more thing. I am bringing several goods with me on our journey that may aid us. If you would like to purchase anything, you know where to find me."
You refocus your attention on your two fellow party members and decide on your next move.

All discussions happen in this thread or now we discuss privately?
When's deadline? |
All discussion and decisions always made in the game threads publicly. I liked how some people worked their opinions into their rp narrations last phase, that might make things a bit less awkward than talking about it out of character. Your call. I'd like all that stuff in here rather than in private group chats though
Deadline is 5pm est. It usually will be so I can update right after work

And for the record if it wasn't obvious, the Class specific choice is entirely your own. No need to discuss with your party on that at all really

To be clear, you can choose someone whose already been chosen. And you don’t have to chose the person who chose you

It was a busy day in the town of South Warren! The twenty one adventurers set off around town to make last minute preparations before departing with Akmong.
The Support members of the parties each had their job to do to help their fellow members. Lavina remained in their room and quietly prepared a healing spell. Their work paid off, as their support helped energize Canassa from across town. Cyrillus, Priggat, Rok, Marnu, and Sandor all booked it for the treeline, freeing the woods of any useful plants they could get their hands on and collective discovering large patches of moonberries. But it was poor Greaseface who saw the most action. As he cut through an alleyway shortcut to get to the marketplace, he was jumped by a few local ruffians who stole a bit of gold from him.
Elsewhere, Tuuluuwaq and Ahron had an uneventful but productive morning sharpening their equipment, which left them feeling inspired. Randall, Canassa, and Khanarak opted for more hands on training and attempted to sneak into the guards barracks...but were quickly caught and all three tossed into the local jail for the morning, forcing their two party members to pay for their bail. Canassa's bail, oddly, was posted at a slightly higher amount. While the guards were distracted, Vandal and Murder Bunny knew there was no better training than the real thing, and each wild beast started a skirmish in the town center. They took a few licks, but they each managed to pilfer a bit of gold in the process.
The morning didn't go so well for Rara, Faerora, or Malus, who had each passed out while studying their spell books and awoke to learn their gold pouches got just a bit lighter while their guard was down. Booberella, Ordella, and Calius had a relaxing morning praying to their respective deities for guidance. Their faith was rewarded as they were guided straight to secret caches of gold and a key. Hustus, meanwhile, stuck to their strengths and sharpened up on their cantrips, finally managing to master the use of Mage Hand.
With Akmong's carriage finally packed, The Assblasters, The Pack, and The Northerners all hitched a ride with him and crammed into the back of the cart. A tight squeeze, but Akmong's inspiring stories along the bumpy road north were well worth it.
Hell's Belles opted for a different approach, which saw Faerora steal three horses from the local stable. While keeping an eye out, Lavina found a pouch of thirty gold that they were willing to split with other parties...but no one else chose to join them. When Canassa explained to Faerora that the third horse wouldn't be necessary, Faerora gave it a good slap on the hide to set it free.
Rok hungrily chased after the horse and followed it along the Northern road as her two party members hustled to keep up. Ying Yang Yang also took off on foot and followed closely behind. But even with the six of them none saw a band of goblin raiders coming, who managed to catch them off guard and steal a bit of gold from each party.
But the most interesting morning, by far, went to The Keepers of the Woods. After discovering the teleportation circle in the basement of The Mello Canary, Marnu, Hustus, and Vandal decided to try their luck to see where it might take them. Vandal downed a glass of milk and led the party through the bright light. In a flash, the three landed with a thud in a barren desert with nothing but sand for miles. While trying to figure out where in the world they were, a group of sand worms roared up from beneath the earth and gave chase...all day. Marnu, Hustus, and Vandal were forced to run across the hot sand for no less than seven straight hours, battling exhaustion and the elements. After finding safety and a second teleportation circle in a local desert village, the three were dropped into the middle of the road just in front of Akmongvs carriage, covered in sand and battle scars.
"How...convenient." Akmong muttered to himself.
Further down the road, the carriage caught up to a defeated Rok, Khanarak, Ordella, Sandor, Murder Bunny, and Calius, reuniting the twenty one of them with Akmong and allowing them all calmer travels from that point forth.
Or so they thought...
