I think this has a lot of potential if we think of fun ways to use it. I keep saying this but if ttrpgs become a norm around here like Mafia did then that would be so great

Critical Role and TAZ threads are here, Moose's new campaign, my crafts, some other scattered threads. There's likely more out there that I forgot

I've got that one dnd idea that I've talked about a bit to really help make this more of a board wide interest but that'll take some time to get going. I think some sorta text based game could be fun if done right, we can play around with stuff. If anyone wants to run anything like that then you definitely should, and if anyone has ideas for the subforum then lets hear em

Yeah thats the idea that me Rose and Brian keep talking about. Whoever wants to DM posts a job on the job board, whoever wants to play can hop in for that night. Could be really fun

Remember the lottery games that Helios did? It’d be fun to reskin that as a group dnd adventure (basically choose your own adventure). That’s what I did for my holiday game series but I wouldn’t wanna get that involved with it right now

You could use the discord bot to do dice rolls if people have different stats maybe. You could have people hold items with different attack/defense tags attached to them and then compare those numbers against each other. One time I considered doing this with a simple friend or foe element where when you run into someone you both privately play the old friend or foe game against each other to see who’s attacked if anyone

I'm sure someone like Brian or Boc with a good amount of board game knowledge can think of a game that has a good attack and defense system. Something like that could be good to lift from if you go with a dice rolling route

Or maybe highest single roll in the group of dice wins

So if I roll 4 dice and get 1 3 4 4
And someone rolls 3 dice and gets 2 2 6

Their 6 beats my 4 even though the odds were with me. And if it ties they cancel out and it goes backwards down the line

That way someone rolling on lowly die can still crit with a 6 vs someone rolling with a powerful 4 dice weapon. Or it makes it more likely than sum anyway
