In hindsight it's a show I can still appreciate for the journey rather than the destination. S6 was a pile of shit, but S1-S5 was still the most engaged I've been following any piece of media before. Most of the mysteries ended up being answered unsatisfactorily or not at all, but getting to theorize about them up to that point was a lot of fun. It's a show that wouldn't have the same effect if it was watched now because of the lack of discussion/time between episodes
WE GONNA NEED A BIGGER BOAT!
ugh, sorry...I mean:
NOT PENNY'S BOAT!
seriously though, desmond's episodes were the greatest shit ever! FLASHES BEFORE YOUR EYES, BITCHES!
"There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die."
"Multiple people told me that Lindelof banned Cuse from rewriting him—a decision they actually agreed with, because most sources said they thought Lindelof was a talented writer and Cuse was not."
lol
some pretty crazy stuff in there, I guess you never know just based on people's public faces. Not to excuse it but it was the mid-00s though so I guess I'm not shocked
the part about Darlton changing up Michael's dialogue to be more centered around finding Walt certainly...explains some things. His concerns seemed valid but they maaay have overcorrected in that case (:
watched the Getting LOST documentary, now showing on a Hodaplex near you
not the best doc on its own but boy there were a lot of nostalgia hits. Def worth a watch for any of the original FIers in particular. They touched on the message board community aspect more than I expected
also very weird seeing the cast 20 years later. MANNN! Alpert unsurprisingly hasn't aged a day tho
