I ruined family Christmas with covid (fortunatelly no one else got it from me).
First symptoms on Christmas eve, feeling exhausted all day and fever at night, didn't stay for the gift exchange.
Spent the night on my mom's apartment, tested negative the following morning. Went back home the next day, the Sunday after Christmas.
A housemate decided to have a little party so my night was shit, that Monday 27th I woke up feeling worse than ever, didn't stay on my work zoom call and went to search for a doctor.
I only managed to get another test, positive for covid that time.
The housemate suddenly started to think on the common good and started to get on my nerves, so I accepted my mom's ride back to the appartment (even took my pc) and spent the following 2 weeks there. Worst new year's ever.
4 weeks after that hell starting I finally took my booster shot. | Signature machine broke. |

My 70 year old mom now has COVID, as does my sister and brother in law. As does my 3 year old neice and 3 month old nephew :( | --------------------

We removed all restrictions here a few days ago. Seems like the new variants are gonna be much less severe so things are gonna get back to normal.
I assume this means eventually globally as well. | | |
