Let us have feels as we reminisce about the fallen. Who's grisly demise was the saddest to watch?

I think I got all the major ones, threw in a few minor ones for good measure though. I'm sure someone, somewhere cried when Axel got shot. Since I expect two in particular to overshadow everyone else, I'll put three to vote.

I actually felt really bad when Axel got got, but only because it seemed like Carol was starting to enjoy him. Plus that mustache was marvelous. I hardly remember who a lot of these people are, so I have to go with Hersch-dawg. With Merle, T-Dog and maybe even Milton being runners-up. I turned on Dale somewhere along the line.

Actually on second thought I don't think I was actually that upset about Merle's death. I liked him as a character but he went out like a boss. I felt more sad for Daryl in that situation. Merle probably deserved to die.

So my official vote is Herschel, Milton, and Axel because I'm that guy.

I guess Lori was pretty damn sad too, given the circumstance. Most of my sadness comes from the survivors surviving their loved ones and not the people actually dying, it seems.

Was Amy Andrea's sister? Literally don't remember a Jim or Duane. I wouldn't remember Jaqui and Jenner either if the latter wasn't listed as doctor.

Yes Duane was Morgan's son. Didn't actually see him die but the way it was revealed was sad enough to list.

Jim was the guy who got bit when the first camp got attacked and eventually got left by a tree to turn in peace

1. HERSHEL. I knew that each of his miraculous survivals were just gonna make me more and more attached until he was eventually axed

2. T-Dog. As much as I joke about him, I really was sad when he died and I really did like his character (:

3. Dale. Still the only major death on the show that I 100% didn't see coming. His last episode was fairly send-offy IIRC, but up until then I just did not expect him to leave a few episodes short of a finale and during the farm arch. Andrea treated him like shit and that was hardly resolved so I always felt bad for him

Merle/Shane I was sad to see leave the show but their deaths didn't make me sad

Honorable mention goes to Violet and the other pig victims

My order would probably be Hershel/Dale, then T-Dog, followed by maybe Axel??? I knew Shane had to go so I wasn't sad.
