Was reading the Julian Assange article I posted and the writer asked him a hypothetical:

Would you release all Facebook messages if you were somehow to acquire them?

Scenario: Facebook was hacked.
So what would happen if every single Facebook message ever sent was released publicly?

Could be a Black Mirror episode tbh

Really? How so?

You can get the links from the FB API, so if you share something like a private google docs link then someone could find it and access it.

Or links to non listed documents etc. But anyone sharing those probably knows not to use Messenger for private stuff.

I don't think you can get the to or from though, not 100% sure on the from.

But if every message was released a lot of divorces would happen, friendships broken etc. because shitty people exist.

DNC / RNC idiots would probably be on the news.

Tabloids would go crazy.
