Anyone else watch this besides Mal and I?
It's a British show about Sherlock Holmes but it's set in modern times. I heard nothing but good things so I decided to watch it on a whim recently. It's fantastic. The writing is top notch and consistent and the acting is great.
Each season only has three episodes, but each are an hour and a half. They feel like movies a bit, that's why there's so few. I just finished the second season the other night. I loved it
Everyone should watch! First season is on Netflix

I have been meaning to watch it. I have friends who are big fans. I think I will go find a torrent for it now.

Was that the show featured in the video that Mal posted in the final day of ATTWSII?
If so, I have seen that much of it!

I've seen both seasons at the start of the year... Pretty good, although it sucks we have to wait til 2013 for the next season. | I used to travel the universe, but settled for parks.

The way the deduction scenes are shot are really great too. Very creative

Just watched this with the girlfriend a few weeks ago. Really solid. S1E1 and S2E3 are my running favorites with S2E2 being the only episode I can't say I enjoyed all that much. | "They come. They fight. They corrupt. They destroy. It always ends the same." |

I love Sherlock.
I guess you guys realised that much. A lot of my character (at least initally) from ATTWSII is based on a... character from Season 2, is as much as I will say.
The show is awesome. My girlfriend is huge into it and she sort of got me into it as well... it was playing on PBS for a couple weeks so we saw all of it there, and it was AMAZING. I enjoyed it quite a lot, and I can't wait for Series 3

Yeah those two episodes are great. S2E2 was a bit different, but I enjoyed it. I read that each season three episode is supposed to 'represent' one of three things, love, horror, thriller. I thought the Baskerville episode was pretty good overall. Watching Sherlock be afraid and not be able to trust his own eyes was really cool. And I liked their unique/modern take on the Baskerville story

The ending of S2E1 might be my favorite though. I loved that so much

Finished S1. Pretty good overall! I really like how Sherlock is played. And MORIARTY is so hammy but really entertaining.
A Study in Pink - 8/10
The Blind Banker - 6/10
The Great Game - 8.5/10
The second episode was pretty mediocre compared to the other two. And the showdown in the tunnels was really cheesy. Really enjoyed the other two episodes though.

The second episode in each series is bland compared to the other two, but it's good by itself though. | I used to travel the universe, but settled for parks.

I definitely agree with you about S1E2. Have yet to watch past that, mostly because I have incredible difficulty finding 90 minutes to burn on watching stuff, but I will hopefully get around to it sometime soon. |

A Scandal in Belgravia - 7/10
The Hounds of Baskerville - 6.5/10
The Reichenbach Fall - 9.5/10
I really liked Belgravia's ending until |
the "Sherlock in disguise" reveal. That just felt silly. I think it would've been much better and more poignant if it ended with him mourning her death with just that last text to remember her by |
Baskerville was alright, but it felt like the most stretched plot of the whole series. It just seemed to drag on and felt like it could've been done better in 60 minutes rather than 90. And the |
CGI dawg was pretty awful tbh. And I thought it was supposed to look as big as a horse! It looked just like a pitbull with red eyes. Also the actor that played the guy whose father died was so awful. |
Reichenbach was amazing though. |
I'm not sure how he did it, but two things that definitely have something to do with it: Sherlock telling Watson to stay where he's at, and the biker knocking over Watson. My guess is he jumped into a truck with trash in it (and Sherlock had Watson stay in a particular place where he couldn't see that...somehow) and then he quickly rolled out of it and had blood poured on him (done while Watson was knocked on the ground?). Of course, the onlookers would've had to be in on it somehow... and I have no idea how he could've arranged that, unless they were ALL part of the homeless network. But that would've required Sherlock knowing Moriarty's plan beforehand, so I dunno
Oh and, Freeman's acting at the grave was so good. Very heartbreaking
I don't see how they're gonna top this episode with Moriarty gone. It just feels like everything else will seem small in comparison |

I think Natalie was telling me to watch this, I will give it a shot, I already watch Doctor Who so another British show would be fun to get into.
