Gideon :((( What a tragic character
That ending had me so frustrated but so excited for next week. Can't wait to find out what happened. That opening with Elliott reaching into the popcorn machine was a great set-up

I kind of feel like I shouldn't read any discussion on this show moving forward because I'm p sure one of this season's twists has been figured out. Pretty NEAT if true tho
|
After reading about it I'm entirely convinced Elliott is in a prison/institution right now. The way Leon and him have EVERY meal together even though Elliott doesn't respond to him at all (i.e. Leon is another figment of Elliott's imagination), the cell-like look of Elliott's room (with his "mom" presumably being the warden), and Gideon's visit (which was very similar to a prison visit) being the biggest indicators. Plus the phonecall from Tyrell at the end could've been a prison call, and Craig Robinson's character would probably be a prison guard, the way he breaks up the impending fight
This would mean the knock at Elliott's door at the end of S1 was the police |

I think Esmail is more clever than that. I mean the same thing could have happened last year, but it was played off in a different way. We might get clarification on that ^ way before the season ends, and it might just be one huge brilliant misdirection! Or maybe it's just what it appears to be but meant to look like a metaphor for that.

I'm loving these extended episodes. Are they all gonna be like this??
Didn't like this one as much as the premiere, but all the stuff with Elliott was really good. Though I'm still dying to see more of Tyrell at this point (and Joanna for that matter). Just that brief phonecall was a highlight

I can't get enough of this show. Rami Malek might be the best actor on tv right now, he's so good. The adderall montage was my favorite scene by far, I loved the effects and just everything about it really. The concrete/puke scene was equally disgusting and hilarious and fucked up
S1 got compared to Fight Club a ton for obvious reasons but I think Fincher's style in House of Cards is also WEIRDLY similar to this. Like the way new characters were introduced in this S2 premiere reallyyy reminded me of HoC. I'm thinking of the new FBI girl specifically, her intro was so similar to like...Gavin's or Kate Baldwin's or Tom's or something from HoC. I can't really pinpoint why but there's definitely a heavy influence
Also didn't comment on this last week but I'm rly sad about Gideon dying, that scene was tragic. He was a great character. I think Mr. Robot ordered his death somehow since he threatened to squeal. That'd be really sad if 'Elliot' was behind it |

Also loved the moment the dinner turned dark when Price revealed that the two guys were in the meeting with Colby
Angela's arch is interesting and Price is a great character. The other E-Corp dude is so hate able and watchable too, the one who burned the money last week (my favorite scene last week)
