Last movie I watched was the original Carrie movie. Pretty sweet, I liked it better than the original. Now if only I had the book! |
I have the book! Mwuahaha! I practically have all the Stephen King books. Am a very big fan of his work! :-D

... SO GOOD. DAYUM. |
Just got back from seeing it. So good. I loved the pacing, kept me interested the entire time. I would have sat down to watch it again right away if I could have.

THE DROP
I really really enjoyed this film! I'm a huge fan of Noomi Rapace and this was a really interesting role to see her in. It's not the type of movie I think I would usually enjoy but the story and setting was so interesting that it kept me interested the entire time. It's probably not something I would watch but the acting was fantastic across the board and the writing was clever and consistent and all around very good!
9/10
A WALK AMONG THE TOMBSTONES
I mean...it was okay. I'm not a huge fan of Liam Neeson and his character was similar to every other character he's played. I felt like it dragged on a lot longer than necessary and it was in no way original or exciting. It was a good movie for entertainment value, I just felt that it lacked motivation and excitement.
6/10
GONE GIRL
Amazing. Simply amazing. This is EXACTLY the type of movie I'm interested in and it was everything I wished it would be and more. It was an insanely long movie but I was so invested the entire thing. It was incredibly thought provoking, filled with little details that made you question whether or not he had something to do with Amy's disappearance, and so many twists and turns. Just when you think you have the entire movie figured out there's a new level added and your mind is blown. I could watch this movie a billion times, even though I know what happens, simply to revisit the diverse group of incredibly interesting characters. Shoutout to Rosamund Pike who BLEW this film out of the water. Also special s/o to my girl Carrie Coon who is on her way to winning that Supporting Actress Oscar.
10/10!!! | |

The Equalizer
Pretty shitty tbh. But it was made even worse by the fact that the people around me would laugh HEARTILY at FUCKING EVERYTHING. Like there was one scene where the police bust some criminals and there's money stacked everywhere, and one says "Who's gonna count all this?!" and a couple guys behind me start HOWLING in laughter! For like 15 seconds straight. I hate people

Gone Girl
Really fucking good. Probably the best movie I've seen this year |
I'm so glad I didn't read anything about it and didn't watch anything but the first trailer, so I went in completely unspoiled. The first hour just seemed like a very solid drama but after that monologue from Amy the movie went to a whole different level. Pike was really good. Wouldn't be surprised if she gets an Oscar |

Just saw Fury and it was REALLY good, despite the cliché of the thing being centered around a new recruit to the established team. Boy becomes man. Though there is the sense in this film that becoming the guy he has to be to be a valuable part of the team isn't necessarily a good thing. The film is great at depicting war as hell and depicting both sides as humans with good and bad qualities.
This is also one of the few movies to make me genuinely dread the thought of ever being involved in a war. | A survivor becomes a leader...

And of course I saw Gone Girl when it first opened and loved it. My brother bought and read the book and I might read it soon, he said it was even better than the movie. | A survivor becomes a leader...

Julie will win since she only has like 10 posts and thus a low number to hit a day. I have to be careful not to post too much and raise my average, which is slightly less than 6 last time I checked?
Yet she hammered me. | A survivor becomes a leader...
