how did rhonda save ur life Rose

My dad is sort of prone to random acts of stupidity. One day he was driving through a very wooded area, speeding of course, when he suddenly slammed on the brakes. Seeing as a large buck ran across the road just a few feet in front of us, I assumed my dad saw it and stopped just in the nick of time.

But he had no idea there was a deer there. He never saw it. We would have hit it had we not stopped. He stopped because he saw the turtle in the road and wanted to steal it.

So, nearly hit deer, didn't because my dad likes to illegally "rescue" reptiles from state parks

Shadow, you had a cat named Stinky? That's awesome!!

Had a dog when I was like 7 that we found stray on the side of the street. He didn't look beat up or anything so likely just ran away but didn't have a collar. Took him home and we kept him outside in Cali because we had a rental home that didn't allow dogs. His name was Scruffy. He at vienna sausages and that was it.

Sampson (Sammy for short) the hamster! We got him for Christmas I think. He got lost many times but always was found. He eventually died of diarrhea.

Then we found a turtle at the beach and named him Turdy (original). He was a water turtle and we traded him in at the pet store to get a lizard (but I think that was a lie my parents made up but did it so we didn't get upset when they let it go.)

Lizzy the lizard (we're great with names). Had him for about half a year until we had to move out here in 2000.

Got out here and we got Buster the Pomeranian. The most feminine dog. He was a boy though. Learned to dance so that was cool. Spent a lot of time begging on his hind legs. Was cute for a while. Barked at everything that moved. Recently gave him away when we found out my dad was allergic to dogs and immune to the shots.

I got a bird and named it Buddy when I was in 6th grade. Then went to Outdoor Lab. Apparently my family went to a movie and left him on the cage. When they got home, my dog had torn it to shreds. When I got off the bus, my mom greeted me with balloons and didn't tell me...took me to Red Robin for lunch and then told me afterwards. I know, ironic...

After that, I got 2 hamsters from a friend for Christmas. Eventually they got out and my dog tore them up. Found one of them behind the couch before school. Couldn't find the other. Eventually found it under a pile of clothes. My pomeranian was a demon after my childhood happiness, obviously.

Then I got a beagle for Christmas. His name was Pretzel. He was amazing...and fat. He would sit on the top of our couch and look out that window all day long. Then howl at anything that moved. He never barked...I think it's a beagle thing. Him and the pomeranian would tag team food products on our tables and counters. The beagle was big enough to get up and get things down, then the pomeranian would hide the food in different corners and crevasses in the house once he realized we took the food when we found it. He had stashes under my parent's bed.

Now...I have nothing since we gave both dogs away. My dream pet is a huskie...but I also want an odd pet. Like a hedgehog...or a monkey. I have asked for one for Christmas for the past like 8 years, but my parents tell me they already have one and don't want another.

The end.

Lol'd. The Fosdick parents are pretty clever.

Lad - sweet dog, loved him but he died and I don't remember how or why.

Lassie - pound rescue collie mix, smart dog. She followed us everywhere.

Tom - wild cat that showed up on the farm randomly when I was very little. I patiently worked with that cat until he trusted me and he became my cat. He would hit the kitchen screen door until I said good morning each day before he would go hunt or whatever it is farm cats do all day. I was so sad when he died.

Mama cat - name sums it up, she pretty much kept the place stocked in kittens. She ran away wearing my favorite doll dress :( I never did find the dress. Or the cat.

Tinkerbell - the cat. She wore a collar with a bell on it. Pets were outside. That was always the rule, but I always hated that rule. My cats got hit in the road a lot :( Tink figured out where my bedroom window was in that old farmhouse. She also figured out the maple tree led to my room so she would climb the tree, hop on the roof and meow outside my window at night. I would open the window and let her sleep in my room, then open the window and send her back out later. :)

My dad loved Irish Setters, they were all stupid and I hated those dogs. They would wrap their chain around your legs when you tried to feed them and knock you in the mud.

Beagle named Tippy - my dads attempt at adding another male to an otherwise majority female home. He was stupid too and would fall off his doghouse when he barked.

Fish named Goldie - lived 8 years and was a fantail from walmart. It used to have an issue with its airbladder and would float sideways or upside down. I found out you can feed them the inside of cooked peas and it fixed the problem. I fed Goldie a lot of peas over those 8 years.

Bullet :( my rottie. I loved Bullet. He was a gorgeous Rottweiler and an absolute beast or teddy bear depending if he liked you or not. If I ever get another dog, I would absolutely love another Rott. He got old and had the typical hip issues that they get with age. He was in a lot of pain and had to be put down.

Weegie - current pet and cat from hell. He is a watchcat and bites people who don't belong in the house. He is well trained, knows to go to the basement when I get my keys to leave or turn out the lights to go to bed. We've had him almost 13 years. I dread losing him.

I skipped a lot of random things like hermit crabs that stink like heck when they die, fish that used to jump out of the bowl or decide to swim right before you flush them. (My dad did not take it back out of the toilet, he swam a little too late) Rabbits, just why? They do nothing. Ok, my daughters rabbit does organize and put it's toys away, which is weird, but otherwise it just sits there. A guinea pig that squeaked and talked and fell off her ramp so was afraid to go upstairs in her cage. That's about it.
A lesson without pain is meaningless. That's because no one can gain without sacrificing something. But by enduring that pain and overcoming it, he shall obtain a powerful, unmatched heart. A fullmetal heart.
