Pull your oven or fridge out and look behind them. Probably poo central. Even one mouse will leave his lil love puffs behind everything. When it comes to kill traps, honestly the classic mouse trap seems to be the most effective to me. Put a dab (Igor don't) of peanut butter on the trigger, set it, and assassinate the poor little thing. Trap and release is a noble thought and I figured I would ask because some people just refuse the other option, but releasing it would just lead to it being like "heh, sucker" and getting back into your house. Unless you drove it across state lines and gave it five bucks to start its new life.

I may try this if I run into a mouse problem. Is 5 bucks usually enough?

I've seen some pretty horrendous videos of a guy who traps mice in his barn with a 5-gallon bucket with a rod across it which can spin freely, so the mice walk to the middle for the peanutbutter and then slide into the bucket.

The guy has a few videos and shows one where multiple mice fall into the trap and they turn all cannibal on each other.

^^Link to his youtube page where he has all sorts of mouse traps. You could potentially find a catch and release trap in there, but it may be a little more difficult than going to the hardware store and buying one.

The sticky traps work well but you have to bludgeon them to death once theyre caught

Yea it's creepy if you catch them alive, one was like trying to squirm its way out and it like tore the top of its back open, it was creepy

it's no fun for anyone when you catch a mouse or two on the glue traps.
