The one you posted is the one I saw - I had just looked up a topic asking about the song on her mix tape and the song I posted was the only reply so I wasn't sure which version I watched. Definitely better, but I kinda like the other song too - just not for the movie.
Pretty sure you recommended this one too - I wish I had watched this one before I saw Triangle. Not that having seen it first detracted from this one at all, it's just that their concepts were so similar so I never really questioned what was happening. I really liked this one and at times felt like I could have turned the subtitles off and not have been lost at all. Really cool movie. My favorite little scene was Hector 3 coming out of the tank like an old pro 30 seconds before Hector 2 comes out puking.
Either the best or worst movie to watch in the wake of Robin Williams killing himself. Another Bobcat Goldthwait movie where Robin plays a struggling writer/teacher with maybe the most detestable teenage son ever. His kid accidentally dies while during a bout of good ol' autoerotic asphyxiation and Robin covers it up and writes a suicide note. It becomes a big hit at the school as an inspirational piece and turns his shitty son into a hero and snowballs from there. I really liked it, good black comedy.
The last of Bobcat Goldthwait's finished movies - probably my favorite of the three. Reminded me of Falling Down with elements of Super or Natural Born Killers. A divorced man fed up with American culture who is told he has a brain tumor that is inoperable goes on a killing spree targeting rude people, television talking heads, political pundits, and reality television celebrities. He's joined by a teenage runaway who delights in the killing.
I liked it. We get some fresh characters from the Marvel Universe. I don't think it was better than The Avengers, but it was pretty awesome. I know there's a thread dedicated to this movie, but was already in here. :P
Continuing my weekends of watching relatively popular movies I never watched for no obvious reason:
Face/Off - As utterly ridiculous as it was, pretty fun action flick all in all. Ending was a little too sunshine and rainbows for my taste but eh. Kinda interesting to find the source of all those Nicolas Cage reaction gifs too.
Boondock Saints - Was surprised how light hearted it was, I always kind of imagined this being a really gritty and dark film. Pretty good watch. Thought Dafoe's character in particular was great. The cat scene left me really sad though ;_;
American Psycho - Very, very good. Bale was fantastic. Interesting ending that I wasn't expecting at all either. That probably pissed a lot of people off (:
I appreciated the nod to Jeffrey Dahmer and his boiling water on the brain tactic of trying to make his victims into zombies. Other than that I fucking hated the girl and her dad so much (obviously) that I was restless waiting for them both to hopefully die very brutal deaths. Also the other story with the kid's friend and his date/the daughter of the cop annoyed me because it really went absolutely nowhere - they could have just showed her brother's picture up front and saved some time. It was really brutal and had really hateable villains so I guess it did its job.
Really enjoyed it, will probably watch it again sometime. Wish I had seen it while it was in theaters.
I planned to see that when it was out but I never heard anything, good or bad. I'll have to put it back on my list to see.
A lesson without pain is meaningless. That's because no one can gain without sacrificing something. But by enduring that pain and overcoming it, he shall obtain a powerful, unmatched heart. A fullmetal heart.
