I'm more concerned someone will run off with my tire just to be a dick than I am someone stealing my whole bike.

:yay:

Once you realize I'm parking my bike next to multi-thousand dollar bikes and my current at $800 is the cheapest bike in the area, this makes much more sense.

One thing I forgot in the "Nice to have but you'll be glad you have it" category:

Bike rack and decent saddle bag(s): This is worth every penny. I carry groceries in there, I've carried an entire case of beer on the back of my bike, all because I have the rack and saddle bag. If I need groceries, I'm more likely to hop on the bike and head over than to get in the car. I get sushi and bring it back on the bike. Chinese food, tacos, everything.

This adds so much utility to the bike and doesn't add the strain of having a backpack on you all the time riding around. And, as I said, I've carried a case of beer back.

Worth every penny.

With quick-remove tires, it is so easy.

The high pressure pumps that clamp to the frame are actually pretty nice if you do any off ing and have to patch or replace a tube on the go.

The saddle bag thing is super helpful, I was thinking if there was a way to carry a lot of shit while on the bike

They make expandable under seat bags that are pretty handy for tools, etc.

I never got it until I was about 12 and I wiped my ass with it. now I get it easy as hell. I don't think I've ever had the sumac. Just ivy and oak.

I was too rmbarassed to tell my mom for about 3 weeks. By then it was like something out of some kind of horrorporn. I finally told my mom because my baseball coach was ready to kick me off the team because I was running the bases "like some kind of pussy"

what the fuck is wrong with you
nav is ugly and i am pretty

In college there used to be an unofficial bike lending program throughout campus - and by this I mean we would steal unlocked bikes to get to the bars and then return them in the morning. It was a great program

Sounds like $800 bike, and $4200 on the doo-dads for it

I was walking home from a bar just now and a construction working was like "How you doin'?" and I replied, "Hi thanks, how are you?"

Just because he's dressed like a construction worker doesn't mean he is?

He was hopping off of a construction truck--it was some sort of night job on the main road by my house.

ANYWAY the point is, the way I answered, or really didn't answer his question made it sound like I said "I'm high, thanks." He seemed like a kind man and didn't ask in a creepy way. I'm just awkward and forgot to answer his question! Like at the movies when the ticket salesperson says "Enjoy the film!" And I say "You too!" every goddamn time.

OH

I didn't realize you were high

that is funny

I wasn't!

You seem like a funny, awkward little thing ...
