Finally finished AC Brotherhood after taking a small break. Moved onto Revalations last night and am already pissed off. Why the fuck did they change around the button scheme that worked perfectly to that point? |
Already done (: That was ridiculously short! Felt like there was like one or two missions per sequence. Didn't bother doing all the Desmond sequences cause they were fucking lame. Probably will start 3 tomorrow, at last. |
>Dem controls
>Dat gunplay
Welp. |
And done with this. I purposely breezed through it. Wasn't very interested in the side missions at all. The controls were fucking annoying and I hated the fighting. I have no god damned idea why they thought mushing everything into a limited amount of buttons was better. I & II both had a flawless fighting system where every button had a certain command, it made it not only easy to jump right into, but actually really fun. I use to just get into mindless fights with the guards that would last forever in free roam cause I felt like it. I ran away more than I ever did before in this game because I just did not have the energy to do it. I still never figured out how to grab people in III. I think AC should definitely stick to medieval times, gun play just does not work at all for the system it has.
I mean it wasn't terrible. It was a really pretty game, the map was filled with so much shit to do, but I didn't have much ambition to do any of it. And I really liked the theme, the cut scenes and the characters a lot, which makes it even more disappointing that I didn't enjoy actually playing it.
Been looking at Black Flag at the marketplace, but haven't bought it yet. I heard they didn't change much and it seems like it's focusing on the naval portion of III, which I actually really hated. Eh. Should I go for it anyway? |

A lovely Tumblr follower of mine bought me some games, so now I'm playing Gone Home. I don't know what I'm supposed to do, so I'm just wandering around looking through things.
This house is called the Psycho House by a bunch of high school kids and I found a note that says the lights going out is normal because of how the house is wired, so I'm like "Great."
update: omg this game made me cry. I want more games like it.

I decided to try Saints Row the Third. I was in the middle of machine-gunning down some police helicopters when one flew into me and i had a crash to desktop. 10/10 | d ( i n o s r o a ) r

I just finished Burial at Sea: Episode I and rolled my eyes at the ending lol. It was just ok. More Bioshock is never a bad thing so I enjoyed the time I spent with it, I won't be replaying because I'm not really an achievement hunter, if I miss it the first time I don't bother going back (I only got 15/17 audio recordings =/) | A survivor becomes a leader...

I dug out my Sega Genesis yesterday and played some old gems, namely Castlevania Bloodlines which I hadn't beaten before yesterday. The whole experience evolved into me looking up lists of best Genesis games to see what I've missed out on, and I decided to give Phantasy Star IV a shot via Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection. It's pretty good so far and definitely reminds me of classic Final Fantasies, while retaining its own personality and style. It's worth noting that I'm not really a fan of RPGs in the first place.
For anyone who's an expert in this area, could you list off some essential classic RPGs? I've beaten Final Fantasies IV and VI, EarthBound and Mother 3, and the Pokemon games. That's about it. | Nintendo Network ID: EctoCooler47 |

Are you asking for essential Genesis RPGs, or on any of the systems of that era? Shining Force on the Sega Genesis was always a favorite of mine. I'd definitely call them classics, especially the second one which I liked a lot. Can't remember if they're on the USGC or not. Secret of Mana and Secret of Evermore for the SNES. Secret of Mana is the essential classic, but Evermore was offbeat and strange and very similar. People seemed to hate it back then just because it wasn't -of Mana but I loved it. The Lunar games were great but that would technically be PS1 era now since I doubt the Sega CD versions are readily available. | |
