What he means is did you give any hint who you would be hiding behind so people would know they were scum if you died from hiding behind them?

I tunneled scum farlig 3 days in a row. I'm officially town for the next 8 games, and will act like anyone who says differently is stupid.

If the "josh is town" messages are from the mod, and not from a player, then it sounds like Josh is a Friendly Neighbor-type role, where they can be mod-confirmed as town to a different player each night. The people who have received these messages seem to imply it's mod-driven, and not player-driven, so I'm going to assume that's the case for now.
