couldn't feel TOO bad for him after last week but they sure tried their best. That funeral scene was tough to watch liked the Uncle's speech before that, man was spitting FACTS (respectfully). Felt cathartic having someone actually be real on this show Kendall's the only sibling that's realistically gonna 'win' after this one but I have a feeling it'll be someone out of left field instead

These were both so good. What a consistent season The election one was pretty wild, everyyyyyyyone was nearly at their all time worst. Idk how the show keeps getting away with that and then still makes me care about them, it's crazy The Tom/Shiv pregnancy scene was tough. The whole ep was a tough watch really Loved the Shiv confrontation scene, the blocking was so good with Kendall calling Nate and then whispering to Greg while Shiv had to watch. Greg's shrug and smirk to Shiv through the window was so funny, I loved how it wasn't even in focus Roman was so annoying in 8 and then had another turnaround in 9. Culkin crushed it, the speech scene was an all timer. I was nervous for him at the end, I thought he was gonna get way more hurt in the crowd Kendall whipping into Logan 2.0 was also sad to see. Securing Hugo and Colin like that, then shitting on Roman for messing up the speech at the end Loved the cringe scene of Kendall trying to suck up to Mencken only for Greg and Connor etc to come over and do the same thing, like a bunch of flies. How embarrassing I kinda agree with Josh, are we about to get a Bran the Broken in Greg the Egg?? I feel like him being Mattson's guy is gonna come into play one more time, him picking Greg or Tom instead of Chiv for placeholder CEO in America would make sense, I feel like he's gonna fuck Shiv over. But the show can't shaft Kendall like that, he's gotta have a huge part in how it shakes out. I'm so curious to see what happens

finale + good finale overall though I thought the last couple episodes were definitely stronger (and both probably top 5 for the series) first half was pretty slow though the reasons quickly became obvious the more they leaned into the siblings bonding. Knew there was no way Kendall was winning after all that, though didn't expect Shiv to be the one to flip (again). Thought it'd just be Stewie or something the sibling fight made the episode and really culminated the series well. One of Jeremy Strong's best performances for sure, you could really feel his desperation. I can see what Shiv was saying, Kendall's always so obnoxious when he's on top (: Hate that Tom got the post instead but what can ya do. I'll at least count that as a partial win for Shiv the very ending seemed a bit...flat? I dunno, I guess I expected the last shot to have a bit more finality/grandeur to it than just Kendall pondering his life. Almost felt like more of a season finale than a series finale

Think of all the Kendall water shots we've had throughout the season, though. I thought it was perfect. No one ends up happy at the end, and Shiv might be in an even more unhappy spot than she ever was before. That scene with them all happy in the kitchen and then the one crying over the video of their dad were both very heartbreaking, though. Like some of the most tragic of the series, IMO. Tom putting the sticker on Greg was the highlight of the episode for me.

Tom wins. Suck it Boc! I really enjoyed the finale. I agree it probably didn’t live up to the last couple episodes but it was still great. The scenes with the siblings playing meal for the king was great and Roman licking stupid Peter’s cheese. Them talking about murdering Kendall in the ocean was pretty solid too. The final bickering between siblings was awesome as well. So personal, so petty, Kendall yelling it was his right as the eldest son, Roman realizing Shiv is right and then Kendall like choking him out. I will say I didn’t love the idea that Shiv chose to vote against her brothers. I kind of get the Tom angle, but I feel like the show would have ended better if the three of them linked up and just all fell on their face. I will say as big of a Tom-Stan as I was, I wish they would have hinted this more throughout the season, maybe they did and I missed it but they hyped up how much Mattson hated Tom and then bam he was the pick for America CEO. My only recollection was when he was notably absent on the kill list earlier this year. His scenes with Greg were perfect. From when they had their little slap fight in the bathroom, to him putting the sticker on Greg’s forehead at the end, the disgusting brothers might be my favorite tv duo. Willa and Conner ended pretty good, though I wish maybe they had a little more participation. Willa’s face when Shiv said Connor might not go to Slovenia was pretty funny and a good close to their relationship. I do wish Gerri and Roman got a little closure, she was pretty absent though maybe a couple episodes ago was all the closure they needed. Final scene was good. Maybe could have gone a little deeper into Kendall’s mindset after the vote. How truly broken he was. Maybe trying to reach his family. Great show. Will definitely go down as one of my favorites. Crazy it went all down in a month. Hopefully for those who waited a year for this thought it lived up to the hype.
