Overall EoE is a complete unfair advantage. There was an interview with Rick and he said Chris came to the island with like notes from the other edge players. Ron gave a note to Julie to trust Chris, etc.

He has insight to the jury. He knows who he needs to take out and who he should sit next to. He gets the important jury pandering without it being open and obvious to the other players.

And it's clear he had no issue cutting people like Lauren and Rick because he hasn't been with them and been through things with them for 30 days. While Rick and Lauren had to still navigate their current relationships on top of feeling remorse for cutting Chris way back on Manu.

Rick stupidly gave his toughest competitor an idol.

I think if Lauren doesn't save Chris there or Rick doesn't give the idol back, Rick is probably the winner if he beats out any of the other 3 in firemaking. That's rough.

I think Devens would’ve beat Chris at FTC? I would hope so. It felt more like Gavin and Julie just weren’t tempting enough to vote for over Chris. Surely Devens would’ve been for many people

I don't think so. The EoE-ers had serious kinship with each other

I just watched the finale (yeah late I know).

Chris deserved it based on what he accomplished in like 11 days imo. I hated him, but he did play well and did make an excellent move by going into the fire making challenge himself. Risky, but you don't win 1 mln dollars by getting second place.

EoE was a horrible twist, but given that it was there, Chris made the best of it so good for him.

Rick's bitter vote was disappointing.

Overall a decent season with some beyond crazy twists and turns.

Oh next season is one i might skip omg.

I dunno man, I did really enjoy this season for the most part. And I fucking love Rick Devens. I do get why people DON'T like him, but I literally jumped out of my seat when he won the right back in the game. So unexpected. Devens was literally a target the entire time he was in the game and nearly made it to the end despite hardly anyone even talking to him. Twists suck and yeah, if Devens was somebody I hated, I would probably be pretty infuriated but a) everyone had an even chance to find the idols he did (minus the one with David) and b) he won challenges when he needed to. I saw a lot of people comment that he was just this season's Ben, but Ben relied on NOTHING but twists and idol to stay safe. He didn't win a thing. I knew Rick wasn't winning based off his edit but man was he so fun to watch for me. And it's crazy that these last three seasons I've watched have gifted me with some of my favorite players to ever watch (Dom/Wendell, Christian and Rick)

I wanted to be optimistic about the twist because I truly do not mind redemption twists. I totally see through WHY they did it, especially with four returning players, because the chances are high that one of them will come back. I think it would have been a lot better for it to end when Devens came in. The fact that Chris even had a chance to just float on down to the very end AND be the person to end the biggest threat's streak is just absurd. And then WIN after being the third boot? What? I know I'm preaching to the choir but holy shit. He got to go in with a lot of knowledge he shouldn't have had, had a jury of people he got to work pretty much the entire game... ugh. Bad!

Editing for this season... definitely bad. I think this cast was strong for the most part. Besides Rick, I liked a lot of people ... but the final three were literally three people who were barely showcased until the end game. Why? I typically cannot stand returning players because they eat up airtime and that's exactly what happened. It was the David vs. Kelly show until David left. Then it was just the Rick Devens show. I thought for sure they were setting up for a Lauren win. I was absolutely floored when she got voted out. I already was pretty confident Rick was out at F4 and I just couldn't fathom the final three being... well, those three. And I didn't even DISLIKE the final three. I liked all three of them for the most part throughout the game. But I suppose Chris being the winner makes the heavy EoE segments make sense.

I really do wish Gavin won, I think he played a solid game and he was pretty rootable from the start.

Man there was a shot in the DvG finale with Jeff talking at the back of the stage and this old dude was just wrapped around his chair mean mugging the whole time. Could not stop cracking up. Posting this so I remember to screenshot it for science one day.
