Or if there was so kind of prize or rule if you stick with your partner for a certain amount of time or something.

Leif did that in his game. If you and your partner (no one knew who yours was though) made it to the merge, you would both get an idol. But again, I couldn't betray my partner since there was never an opportunity to. Plus, once we got the prize, it was over.
I thought of that as well, but I don't see a single person actually trying to stay with their partner at all costs...especially people from Sausage.
And about what KC said, I feel the same way about the twists. I initially was upset, but reading up to the first episode, watching the preview, and then watching the first episode, I got excited and still am. I think as the opportunity comes to possibly vote against your loved one and making alliances with or without them, dynamics will get really shifty and I can't wait. Plus, like the loved ones said, every time the tribe goes to tribal the other tribe loses a loved one and someone will be upset. It will definitely be interesting and I think it's the perfect season to do RI and bring in the other twist. It's RI but reworked and I really like it.
I guess I'm counter meta and I'm just someone who enjoys RI, returning players, and rites of passage. I mean, with RI and returning players I prefer seasons with less returning players (like Philippines which had 3) and I don't necessarily like how someone could win their way to merge and then to final 5. BUT, if I ever get on the show, I hope to GOD that there are a lot of returning players and RI because it would be fun and you would also have that buffer if voted out.
I also think seeing some players back is fun. There are people that I always wish would come back and seeing them is fun. Seeing people who know the game and have a distinct way of playing and seeing how they play in the new season is fun, but I also like the fresh players though the past few seasons haven't bred the best.

My ideal night would include a Rupert loss tonight on RI, A family members IC win so we get to see two things:
1) The Returnees Tribe dynamics (and a tyson confessional plz)
2) Laura going to RI hopefully.

If Rupert leaves at RI, I think Laura is set to float through the game quite a while. She's definitely not the biggest challenge liability on that tribe, and there's a lot more value in keeping a new player without a partner in the game over a huge threat.

Egh, but I don't know that the returnees are going to be looking at ditching threats this early on. They'd be awfully short-sighted to want to take out their better players this early on, especially when they've got dead weight like Colton and Gervase there.
Personally I'm rooting for a Marissa or Candice RI loss, and a Colton voteoff tonight. |

I have a feeling Marissa is going to beast it at R.I (and Candice) if it's always going to be two people safe and the third going home, because I can't imagine the tribes voting out anybody strong enough to handle Candice (because she's a vet with challenges) and Marissa is one of the stronger physical girls. Wouldn't be surprised with either of them two actually making it back in at merge.
I will say, the clue being given to John could bite him in the ass. |

He's going to do it. Damnit Tyson be selfish | "So, uh, what are we saying here? If we save LA from a nuclear bomb, then you and I can get together for dinner and a movie?"

No chance Tyson exchanges places
The preview makes it look like he does. The preview lies to you 99% of the time. Rachel is also the most irrelevant contestant this season, if she was going to trade places with Tyson and return to the game she'd have been more complex tonight
with that said YAY at Rupert leaving

If Colton quits next week then I think that can pretty much guarantee that we will never see him again, which would be so awesome!
I'm so glad Rupert is gone, but I'm pretty upset about Rachel going. I think their reasoning for voting her off is creative but its stupid and they should've gotten rid of John.

Yeah, they really didn't give us much of Rachel, but seeing a vengeful Tyson could prove to be pretty interesting. I don't think he'll trade places because it'd be too much of a risk, but that's just conjecture at this point.
I'm a bit sad to see Rupert go, if only because there was so much potential for a "Rupert annoys the piss out of Candice" storyline to yield some incredibly entertaining moments.
As for Colton... I don't know that he'll quit, but I have a feeling he's not long for the game. He's a member at another forum I'm on, and he's been quite active there lately (much more than usual) which suggests to me that he's probably a prejuror. |
