I agree with Dan. I also think the girl is/was clearly mentally ill and needs serious psychiatric help in addition to her sentencing.

I mean, personally I'd consider that accessory to a crime, but I'm not a lawyer

I found a case from the UK in which someone was actually convicted of murder despite not actually doing the deed. He egged on his drunk and coked up friend to murder their victim. Joint enterprise. He made an appeal to the courts and overturned the ruling but ended up being retried and jailed for manslaughter. which i dont get but oh well.

This is all UK law though. Although apparently Massachusetts and Texas have similar common purpose laws

Coincidentally, Michelle Carter is a Massachusetts citizen, so she may have been charged with murder if that was the way it happened.
