I just got a frog costume in my Steam inventory for no reason.

Well, I don't think you should carry all of the blame, it's a really hard fucking game especially just jumping in blind. You're still in the prologue, and yeah you can avoid that thing when you first meet, but you have to kill it near the end of the intro.

If you keep up with it and get past the intro and into the meat of the game, it's decently open-world-y, but there an obvious progression given the difficulty of the enemies in each area. Don't run into the graveyard. It's like right next to the starting point.

If you can get comfortable with the combat and counters/ripostes and such then things get exponentially easier... kinda.

I chose Thief which may have been a mistake too. I like playing quickish characters, but considering how awful I am at combat games, I probably should have just picked a generic RAWR WARRIOR which I assume makes things a bit easier with a real weapon and not a weak ass dagger to start with. Must admit, I lold hard at the class that gives you a stick and a wooden shield. Almost did it just to see how horrible I'd do.

Yeah - I think people have pretty good results using magic classes, but I did the same thing as you and tried to be a thief/archer my first go. It did not work out at all so I restarted as a warrior type and enjoyed myself much more because things felt more conquerable.



Did anyone ever buy The Forest? I watched a few videos of it last night after reading about it in here. It looks so damn fun. I've got way too many games I've bought and not played to be thinking about playing a game I don't even know if I can run, but damned if it didn't seem amazing.

This is why I'm holding off. I'm pretty sure itwill run, but steam says I now have 95 games. I have played... far less than 95.

I'm going to get it later this month after I've finished up a few things I can't afford distractions from.

Apparently you can't save yet though. It's still early alpha testing I guess

The save feature is apparently being patched today. That's a very important feature

I watched some videos and there seems to be some other pretty annoying bugs. Most seemed to suggest holding off until later. It looks like a game I'd spend far too much time playing

The first enemy I encountered was a huge fucking troll with a giant bat that murdered me many times. I attempted to kill it by punching it which, strangely enough, didn't do much! It took me several minutes to realize there were doors to the side I was suppose to escape to rather than attempting to kill it, which I assume we do later when we're better equipped. Then I fought two zombies and it took like 20 minutes to kill the bow and arrow guy. And the guy with the knife always murders me cause I get impatient over how long it's taking for him to fucking die so I stop blocking. I am terrible at video games.

My little brother beat the first Boss in only two tries.

He did however rage quit a bit ago.

Also, it'd have to be a live game, probably on AIM where you can do the dice roll and post on a board, because I don't know what other way you would be able to manage dice rolls.

Mario Party mini games for competitions. Let's hope you're good at Hot Rope Jump.
