I am watching the film Potpourri on netflix right now. This girl took drugs in preparation for a philosophy final exam paper. She went to the library and now there are singing books.
"Math and science should build your wit, but forget them now 'cus they don't mean shit.
And while art and English are well and good, they never change the way that you understood.
Your surroundings, environment, and atmosphere, so I tell you now one thing is clear.
The world seems different from a closer look, but don't take it from me, I'm a talking book."
What's really going on
If only the scene lasted for more than two minutes :(
Usually there's some hint of a redeeming quality about a corrupt cop in these types of movies, no matter how buried and long lost it may be. Not in Rampart. Woody just plays a certified 100% racist, homophobic, womanizing son of a bitch. It makes it hard to feel anything but contempt for him, which would work if it didn't feel like they wanted me to feel bad for him. The atmosphere was good, I guess. And the cast was stacked. But even if it had been the best beginning and middle ever, the end went absolutely nowhere. I give this film...
Was kinda kul, almost weirdly stylish and flashy. Like they were performing future magic or something. I found it kind of funny just how fucking massive the audiences for their magic shows were. Lol'd at the bridge scene though, I somehow knew there would be a flashback later on showing 'what really happened' as soon as it happened.

And of course the cop was in on it - he was the only character they didn't tease as maybe being in on it.
Procured The Loved Ones, will watch it tomorrow after Game of Thrones.
I was a big fan of the first one back when it came out. This one was more of the same cranked up to 11, but something about it just didn't click with me like the first one did. Somehow it almost felt too ridiculous - even though that was pretty much the selling point of the first movie. Maybe it was because the first movie just kind of came out of nowhere and I didn't really know what to expect, but with this one I had a pretty good idea of what was coming. I still enjoyed it, so I guess I'm just complaining for the sake of complaining.
I hadn't liked the trailer for X-Men Days of Future Past at all, I thought it was boring and just hated the trailer, at least the way they presented it and everything, but I have to say, the movie was amazing.
Watched Grudge match last week with Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone and it was much better than I thought it would be. It was pretty funny Kevin Hart was in it which I didn't know
