was just telling you how to embed it, in case you didn't know. changing three characters didn't seem much of a burden.
and just to mention it: gifv is not the same as mp4. imgur did a lot of work to convert mp4s to gifv, but other formats (most notably webm) can also be presented as gifv through html5/flash. also, the gifs aren't larger, which is why they're lower quality. note that while the gifv file itself may be small, it's just html and the resources it refers to (including the video itself) are actually quite large.

gifv is just an html site with a video tag with an mp4 file as the actual source and a lot of shit, at least for me in Chrome.
This is almost 2 MB in mp4, the gif is 35.5 MB, while the quality is still higher in mp4, the magic of H.264 (or H.265?) vs the ancient and misused gif.
