No but they will literally call dry lettuce "salad." I agree, by definition it's not a salad, but they seem to think it is.

Also in French the word for lettuce is "salade," so maybe they got the idea from the bloody French.

It's usually a bad idea to take food advice from the French, who have taken "poor people eating anything to survive" and turned it into "food we can charge people up the ass to eat" to a new level of art form.

Snails? Nobody who isn't poor would even think of eating them, unless we tell you it is a delicacy. Then we can make you eat a creature that comes with it's own slime trail and charge you for it.

Duck we intentionally gave liver disease by stuffing it full of grains? I bet you want to eat that up!

Beef tripe? Any other animal innards? We can make you want to pay top dollar, because its FRENCH!

And the Brits are Brexiting, so they have to stop relying on the French anyway. :P

And no, I still don't want to know what is in the black and white pudding and I know this goes against my "no innards" stance, but you also have to remember that if I am having a Brit or Irish breakfast, usually a night of drinking has been involved before that and my judgement is clouded. I have yet to drink enough to eat haggis, though.
