I just finishsed Hold Tight, another Polish Harlan Coben series. Quite ok i guess, not the best. Half the cast looked familiar from the other Polish series :p

I highly recommend Reacher on Amazon Prime. So well written, acted, all of it. A fun detective-type story. My kinda jam! |
It's just hard for me to see the main character as anyone but Thad from bms.

Started the 4400. I didn't watch it when it came out. It's pretty good so far.

Self made. It's a netflix limited series. Only a couple of episodes in, but it's great so far

I just finished binge-watching The Bear on Hulu and it was the best show I've seen this year. So, so good. | "All this from a slice of gabagool?" |

finished The Bear
solid show, definitely picked up as it went along
I love one-shot episodes/movies so Ep 7 was great, BUT it did seem like they weren't able to tell a complete story due to the format. Felt like the episode was cut short
|
what was with all the money at the end?? Was that hinted at and I'm just forgetting something or was that supposed to feel out of nowhere? Weird way to end it! It would've felt more satisfying seeing them battle their way into relevance without that deus ex machina
also not that I doubted it but glad Sydney's sticking around. Heart and soul of the show imo |

Well ep 1 they had all the spaghetti and he was like why the fuck we got all this sketti so I guess that’s helped cover it up. Not really sure what it all is though. I guess I never even thought about that til now. Episode 7 def the high point. I enjoyed 8 but it was my least favorite unfortunately |

Watched the Bear. Solid show was a good watch. The episode with the kid’s party was a highlight for me. The BIL is funny.

I agree that while Episode 7 was great it definitely felt like it never got resolved. I figured that’s what Episode 8 was going to pick up on but never did.
Also I was team Carmy. Stop making that damn donut when we are busy.
The payoff on Episode 8 was just ok for me. I kind of agree the money seemed kind of random. Like it kind of seemed like a cop out resolution. They didn’t figure out the to-go ordering and make a lot of money, they just found it.
Curious to see the direction for season 2 |

I'm currently watching The Tourist on Prime. 6 episodes. About to start the second one.
Jamie Dornan stars as a man with no memory of who he is. Those types of stories are always fun to go into and find stuff out along with the character. The cop lady is fun.

The Bear is def the most stressful show of 2022 haha but I loved it.
|
I think the idea with the money was that for the whole show, Carmy was sort of confused about why he inherited the restaurant when his brother wouldn't even give him his recipes, etc. And he spent the whole season trying to make his brothers' place work, instead of following his own passion and opening up his own place. So the money I think was his brother saying, "Follow your dream and use this to open your own restaurant." The hint was at the beginning, too, when Carmy is like, "why did he order 28 oz. cans when it's so much cheaper to buy big bulk cans?"
That was at least the link I saw and how I interpreted the money. |
