I watched The Amazing Spiderman - I liked it because I liked the lead character. I like Tobey McGuire but I like Andrew Garfield more....but I really liked Kirsten Dunst in the original. | |

I finally watched The Avengers. I enjoyed it and I really, really want a Black Widow movie even more now.
Netflix thinks I wanna watch The Starving Games, Gladiator, and the first Spiderman movie. Uh no. | |

Watched a few last night.
---
A Single Shot
Sam Rockwell accidentally shoots a girl while illegally poaching deer on his land. Finds a box of cash. A game of backwoods criminal cat and mouse begins. I thought it was pretty tense and enjoyed it but it didn't get very good reviews.
Blue Ruin
Drifter learns that the man that killed his mother and father is getting out of prison on a plea deal and decides to drift back into his hometown for revenge and reignites a somewhat dormant blood feud. Was really surprised by this one since I hadn't heard anything about it before seeing it discussed on a website. Good stuff, imo.
Prisoners
Jeeze. Great, but was totally draining. Errybody kidnapping errybody. | |

The Wolverine
Didn't expect much, was entertained. Wish Wolverine and the grizzly bear would have teamed up to take on the Yakuza. Can't decide if I liked or hated what they did with Silver Samurai. | |

Knights of Badassdom
Sort of disappointed with this one. I'd been wanting to see it since it was announced and then it kind of disappeared for a while. It has Peter Dinklage in it and is about LARPers accidentally summoning a demon that starts killing people. I was expecting camp, and it was campy, but at times it felt dangerously close to a Syfy original.
Adore
Two childhood best friends and neighbors start boning each others sons in sunny Australia. Questionable and creepy, but it was alright. Basically Milf: The Movie. Happy Morther's Day! | |

I just watched this and thought it was really good. I hadn't heard about it either. There's nothing better than a mounting tension filled revenge thriller
The main actor carried it. He nailed every moment. I enjoyed how bad he was at what he was doing, like during the trunk hostage scene
I thought I recognized hillbilly friend who helped him out with the guns, so I looked him up. Assuming you've seen Home Alone Zersch, that was BUZZ. I chuckled when I found out | |

Holy shit, that was him, wasn't it? I thought I recognized him too but I didn't follow up on finding out who he was. That is pretty hilarious.
And yeah, I loved how they played it all out. An amateur on a revenge tear. Anytime asshole hillbillies are getting killed in a movie I'm enjoying it.
The very first kill he carries out was pretty fuckin' brutal. Also lol'd at "I made a mess on my leg" *passes out* | |

I knowww. I want to, but I haven't had the time/money yet (and my uncle hasn't sent a bootleg). I am extremely pleased with what I've seen of Natasha (and Sam, etc everyone else) in it thanks to Tumblr though. | |

Decent, weird movie. Kind of reminded me of John Dies at the End, somewhat anyway. Apparently based on a series of novels by Dean Koontz. The dialogue and voice overs felt like they were probably lifted straight from the novel, if that makes any sense. I don't really know how to describe it but there was something kinda flowery about the dialogue that felt more book-like than movie-like. Kid sees dead people, does something about it. Premise doesn't sound very original but it was neat enough. | |

Have you read the books?
And I used to watch 1 horror movie each day, lol. But ofcourse school got in the way. :p. But the last movie I watched was The Ring like 2 weeks ago. And I recently watched Nightmare on Elm Street 7: New Nightmare 3 times in 1 week. Such a special and unique movie! Not your stereotypical horror movie. :) | 'Oh my god, it's full of stars!'

Nope! Have you? I might check out the second book.
And New Nightmare is definitely one of the cooler NOES movies. Maybe the coolest if I could push past the nostalgia of 1 and 3. | |

Yeah I know what you mean. 1.3.7 are defenitley the best. Ofcourse the first one is a classic. The third one is just very creative and just extremely good! And the seventh one is just very unique, something that can prettyy much only be done once. The story is so complex and interesting. Thats always my go-to movie. :-). Have you also seen all the Friday the 13th and Halloween movies?

Yeah, I've got the Friday the 13th DVD set and had the NOES one at one point (the older one that came in a big box with 3D glasses). I've seen all of the Halloween movies too. This past Halloween when AMC did their fear fest thing I saw a lot of them again for the first time in many years. | |
