Calling Jaws a horror movie is like calling a diamond a really old piece of coal. Technically fits the description, but completely misses the point.

ACTUALLY, age doesn't have anything to do with it. It's all pressure and temperature.

Post #108 : 13th Jun 2018 2:06 PM I’d pay to watch Spin/Primate/JJ try to convince Steven Spielberg that he failed to make Jaws a horror movie

Post #111 : 13th Jun 2018 2:34 PM I think what some people are trying to argue here is that Horror = Horrible.
Meaning, since Jaws, Alien and Anaconda are not horrible movies, they can't possibly be horror movies.

Post #113 : 13th Jun 2018 2:42 PM Seriously though.
Deep Blue Sea also has an evil shark in the movie, but it's not horror. It's how the film is structured.
It doesn't have anything to do with whether it's animals or ghosts in a film that make it a horror film.

Post #115 : 13th Jun 2018 3:44 PM I am saying Jaws doesn't fit in curry boy's little pigeonhole. The brilliance of the movie is that it incorporates a bunch of genres, and was one of the first to do it, and maybe did it better than any movie since.
Dick puncher can't seem to grasp that because he's an anal fuckwit with raging OCD.

The only two movies you have ever seen are Spaceballs and Caddyshack
