Whittling this down made realize most of the winners on this show have been solid at the least

Jeremy is for sure top five to me. I have no idea how people let him get to the end. Tasha and Spencer are fairly worthy FTC opponents too (maybe the most well rounded FTC f3 ever?) and for him to get all 10 votes against them is super impressive

One insight thing that I learned that they cut out is I guess Kimmi went OFF on Spencer in the FTC and made him cry (if I heard correctly) saying how he was a terrible role model and she hopes her boys never grow up to be like him.

I dunno, but after the game, Spencer had to go to therapy and stuff because the game killed him so bad mentally. But I don't think Spencer was well liked by the Jury and Tasha was definitely not well liked by many.

I would put up an argument for Earl, Boston Rob, and Hatch. Hatch is a tough one though, but he clearly established the game and pioneered so many things.

On various days I would switch those guys in and out. A lot of the women winners I feel played strong games toward the end but laid low at the beginning.

1. Kim
2. B Rob
3. Jeremy
4. Cochran
5. Natalie A

Note, I haven't seen Earl's or Tom's season, so that might change things. JT is worth mentioning just because it's hard to deny the win when the jury vote is unanimous. Hatch is also great. Parvati would be on the list for me if she won HvV.

I included Natalie A on the list because I think that her game captured a lot of flexibility, rather than just squeaky clean control of the game. Like she bounced back quickly from her sister and Jeremy being voted out, was patient with her Jon move. She also did flashy things like "accidentally" voting for Alec, playing the idol on Jaclyn, giving up rewards, and offering to go to Exile. I actually thought she under-articulated her game in the FTC. Anywayyyyyyyy she may be a less objective add, but I really think being able to adapt is a strong quality of a winner.

Tom's win wouldn't change your mind, I don't think. They painted him into such a great winner and he was a hero, but when I rewatched, I don't think Tom is all that heroic. He threatened people, bullied people, and eventually I think that's why Ian quit last minute. Not sure on all those, but he seemed like a douche to me.

I agree about Natalie. I was definitely considering her for my list. There really hasn't ever been a winner quite like her

I guess we all agree Kim is the best winner, hard to deny tbh

I wonder if she could have done that same thing with a different cast, but I guess that's the point. We will never know and I'm not sure any of the winners could do what they did if it was with different people.

disagree to Cochran being in top 5 winners. His game was nothing special. He sat on his ass for 39 days protected by friendships prior to the show (Dawn/Andrea/etc) His game reminds me of a less impressive version of Sophie's. Coasted in the majority alliance all game long without much obstacles to overcome. The one thing that was impressive was him pulling out immunity wins due to his poor history in challenges. Compare Cochran and Sophie to winners like Natalie White, JT Thomas, and Denise Stapley who overcame the odds of a tribe minority and it's tough to say who to respect more.

Kim
Rob
Denise
Parvati
Jeremy

Kim and Rob are the only two winners with total dominance and control that they made their season so boring to watch.

Denise is the best comeback from minority story of all winners and she attended every single tribal council. I think she lacked a likability factor, but she still won in a landslide. She certainly has one of the best stories of any winners.

Parvati made the most of her second chance and brought together a group of women for a season of nonstop blindsides. Obviously Parvati is my favorite player, so it looks bias that I think she's top 5 winners, but I've read so much on her game that I feel good about placing her. Like the fact she found an idol at exile at final 5 but decided to leave it there to not disrupt her game going forward and the foundation she set up in her alliance

Jeremy is someone who had no business sitting in FTC in that 20 person cast and they all knew that but didn't touch him for whatever reason. How could so many returning players be so dumb? I'm looking at you Kimmi. Waiting so long to try and turn on him. I can't place what it is, but there is something about Jeremy's game that doesn't scream total control like Kim and Rob's. Maybe it's because the edit wasn't presented that way?
