Yeah, that was pretty good. It was made better by the fact that I was having some major deja vu during it and thought that I'd seen it before and hated it, but it wasn't the one I'd seen. I can't remember what that one was called but they showed it on Chiller and the crew wound up finding a gateway to hell or something and it was just p. bad. |
That would be Grave Encounters 2 actually (:

That's a hilarious drop in quality if true. Did GE2 have two like... dueling groups of investigators that resented each other? Like one group that were purists or something and one group that were wanting to play things up for TV?

It was called Episode 50. Took me way too long to find that, but it's imperative that no one ever watches it.

I dunno, IMDB user Trioxin_Zombie seems to have liked it:

I was well pleased with my purchase of this movie on DVD. I got it in Asda for £8 I think it was. And I do not regret one little bit the purchase I made.
I was pleasantly surprised when Kieron Elliot turned up with his accent. I loved it so I did. I loved every single second he was in the movie. I think this is due to the Scottish accent being a rare thing these days in American made movies. Most actors from overseas have to conform to the American accent and this annoys me. It's the film companies fault they are too ignorant towards accents that are not American in anyway shape or form. Well done and thank you very much to those who made this movie in allowing Kieron to use his native accent. It was a breath of fresh air in a stale world of movies. We need to hear the Scottish accent more in movies. It's a unique accent due to not being heard too often in movies.
I got a couple of laughs from Kieron with what he was saying to the others at various times throughout the movie. It wasn't comedy he was doing. Just one or two witty lines that I am not sure were meant to be funny but I found them to be anyway. Like the time when he burst into the room wearing a kilt and said "any ghost comes near me and they will get kilt" lol kilt can mean two things in Scotland. The kilt outfit which is a bit obvious and also the word "killed" translated into Scottish slang is "Kilt" I wonder how many caught onto the joke :) I got it within half a second of it being said due to me being Scottish myself.
Episode 50 - 9/10
Kieron Elliot - 9/10 |

I think Trioxin_Zombie has talked me out of hating it. Obviously I did not pay one bit of attention to the authentic five-star Scottish accent by Kieron Elliot. I am a failure.

Well I finished REC, I watched it with Mal, papershiki, and Jordann! It was creepy as hell! I've seen Quarantine, it was mehh but REC was great! The ending of course is signature! Is REC 2 worth a watch as well?

The people here that have seen it suggested that if you liked the first one you'd probably like the second one, but that the quality drops big time with the third one. I still haven't watched REC 2.
The lanky thing at the end was so much creepier in REC than in Quarantine.
