I assume this is the episode you were saying was very Lost-like Curt? Good ep, though I don't think I'd rank it as one of the best of the year like some critics have
I was really hoping that Laurie would be right and this is all just Kevin's psychosis. But this episode SEEMED to confirm that all that Patti shit was very real. Not sure I like that, iirc the fantasy stuff was always hinted at but could reasonably be explained away by science (other than the initial disappearances). This feels like S6 of Lost now where science vs faith is out the window
I did like it for what it was though. My favorite episode so far has been the Matt-centric one. The weirdness actually worked for me in that one
Also Jill is still the fucking worst and I have no idea why that guy likes her. Why couldn't she have been the one to disappear??
I like this show, just finished episode 2x10 on HBO.
It's so interesting, you just want to figure out what's going on lol. I assume there's some symbolism going on with the baby and the cave and that cavemen scene.
Season 1 intro was epic. Season 2 intro not so much.
I just introduced my friend and his Chinese wife to The Leftovers tonight.
We watched the pilot and at the end they both had like confused looks on their faces so I asked if even of them had any questions I could help with or whatever because I know the show is a lot to take in right off the bat.
And my friend's Chinese wife looks at me deadly serious and says "am I wasting my time watching this nonsense?"
I really hope Nora gets to see her kids again. Like I know that's not the point of the show but I really want Nora to have a happy ending.
Not sure how I feel about the show going overtly biblical and end of times. I liked that in season 1 it wasn't overtly connected. But I could easily see the show just ending like "nothing happened and no one ever found out what happened on october 14th"
