In Dawnguard when you meet the head of the vampires he basically talks smack to you about being a werewolf and says you should turn into a Vampire Lord which will make you no longer a werewolf.

I told the guy to fuck off and joined the Dawnguard. I like that Serana sticks with you no matter which choice you make (at least I'm assuming she goes with you in the Vampire Lord storyline too, I have yet to do a playthrough making the opposite of the choices I've made so far. Believe it or not I only have one character, Desmond the blood elf (I think they're blood elves? Maybe it's dark elf?). Hilariously enough I sided with the Stormcloaks at first but after getting the Jagged Crown and keeping it for over a year I finally decided to turn it in and went to the Empire with it, because the stormcloaks are dicks and hate elves.

I dont think you can become a vampire if you're a werewolf without Dawnguard, can you? It's supposed to prevent disease. I've never tried the werewolf thing but vampirism is overrated. YOU LOOK SICK: ARE YOU FEELING ILL? I DONT MEAN TO BE RUDE; BUT YOU DONT LOOK SO GOOD... WHAT ARE YOU; AFRAID OF SUNLIGHT OR SOMETHING?

The damage you get during the day is ridiculous. I remember in Oblivion the whole screen would turn this terrible bright flash of white whenever you were out during the day, with a sizzling sound effect as your health rapidly goes down. Fuck that. It'd be cooler if you could actually kill the people you feast on, but you just bite their neck and that's it. It's annoying and inconvenient. Dunno if it's the same for Skyrim. My first character got infected with it somehow and as soon as I found out, I looked up online how to cure it and got on that shit before the sun ever rose.

I dont think you get hit at all for being out in the sunlight, but your stats won't regen and you take bigger hits, so if you piss off a few mudcrabs and you don't have any food or health potions, you're going to have a bad time.

Being a vampire in Oblivion sucked BALLS.

I remember being turned into one by accident and I wanted to peel out my eyes.

You walk out at night thinking "sure maybe this is fine". I have some decent HP now and look pretty badass. Then you fast travel somewhere. LOW AND BEHOLD IT IS NOW DAY PREPARE TO DIE. If you where not quick enough to run into some house its back at previous save point!

I had to google the cure. Find the quest. Then fast travel safely between caves at night to try and acquire the cure ingredients.

Dont know how its in Skyrim but I dont expect it to be any different! I certainly wont try.

I need to pick this up again.
