A windowless, concrete building sits alone. Inside, a dim, smoke filled boardroom is dead silent as its inhabitants sit around the long table and read through a classified document. Each one is stamped with the same words in red lettering: PROJECT WATERING HOLE.

An imposing elk sits at the head of the table, spun around with his back turned to the rest. The only one not reading. His gigantic antlers sprawl out on either side of the large leather chair as he waits patiently for the rest to finish reading.

The silence is broken by low chirping that quickly turns into a suffocating mix of aggravated whinnying, chattering, and growling.

"You aren't ssseriousssss?" a snake somehow wearing a suit speaks up. "You want usssss to ssssend THEM?"

The elk spins his chair around, slams his hoof on the table, and breaks his silence.

"You throw your hissy fit another time god damnit!" his voice booms out. "If your Viper's Nest had gotten the job done then we wouldn't be in this mess!"

The snake sulks back into his chair.

"The Wolfpack was full of alphas and broke apart. The Turkey Gang turned out to be yellow bellied chickens. The Red Herrings were a dead end and my god don't get me started on our moles on the inside, those dirty snout nosed freaks failed to provide any actionable intel and have kept us in the dark!"

The chirping quickly dies down, everyone in the room knows he's right. Each team they had sent either abandoned their plan, got themselves caught, or went missing entirely..."

"But to ssseend them..." the snake continues. "After what happened lassssst time?"

The elk stomps his hoof once more. "Commander Gander." he projects his voice towards the far end of the table.

There, a rather proper looking goose dressed in a burgundy smoking jacket is just finishing reading the document. He lifts a wing and carefully removes his reading glasses before addressing the head elk.

"God damnit." he says. "You've left me no choice you son of a bitch."

Commander Gander presses an intercom button and speaks. "Polly, bring a car around front and book my flight. I'm off to see an old friend."

His secretary's voice crackles through the speaker. "Polly, bring a car around front and book my flight! I'm off to see an old friend! Squawk! Copy!" Polly the parrot confirms.

Gander tosses the document onto the table, locks eyes with the elk, and takes a long drag from his cigarette. "I think you might be right." Gander says softly. "The Squawd is our last hope."

He takes one last drag and twists the cigarette butt into the words "PROJECT WATERING HOLE" on the folder before him.

"I'm not sure they'll trust me so easily, I haven't been their handler ever since...that last job." Gander continues. "I'll start with her, she was their leader. Once I convince her the rest will fall in line."

The room watches him in silence as he turns his head up to face them.

"Now more than ever, the world needs Nēnē"

The members of the team and their history have been laid out. Now it's time to bring them back together.

This is where scenes will begin, think of this as a brief tutorial before we get to the heist. Xander Gander, your old handler, is attempting to rope The Squawd back together starting with Nēnē.

Rose will post this scene from Nēnē's POV. This won't be a back and forth between me as Xander and Rose as Nēnē, that would be nice but we don't have the luxury of time exactly. Rose will be posting one flavor block, whatever length she would like. She can have Xander say whatever she wants in the scene, or she could post it sorta journal style from her POV after Xander has left. I leave all the creative decisions in your capable wings

There's a few things to keep in mind when it's your scene:

1. Where is your goose when Xander comes knocking? Are they at home? What's their home like? Are they at work? Did they go straight and get a desk job somewhere? Are they still running cons? Does Xander pull some strings to get them out of prison? Set the scene, what is life like for them after that catastrophic last job?

2. Time to flesh out the actual case. Each of you will be responsible for coming up with details of the heist that you'll all be running. Rose, the question posed to you is WHO is the mark? Who specifically is the target that you all are trying to rob from? Do they have a connection to Nēnē? Or to the group as a whole, maybe involved in the previous job gone wrong? Are they human or animal? What's their personality like? etc. You'll sprinkle the answers to these types of questions throughout your scene as Xander tells you the details. Each of you will get your own question, so be sure to look at everyone else's and don't answer their question in your exposition dump scene

3. Agenda. You'll do the job, but only under one condition. Work this in! Each of you must have that oooone condition that convinces you to say yes and join back up. This can be used as your motivation throughout the game. Do you just want a larger cut? Do you insist that no one gets hurt? Will you take the job as long as you don't have to interact with (member of your team)? Go wild! Have fun

At the end, drop a "You son of a bitch, I'm in." and your scene will conclude. All in one post!


Once Xander meets Nēnē, it will be Nēnē visiting Steve. Which means Christian will write the scene from Steve's POV with Nēnē approaching him instead of Xander. Nēnē will be the one recruiting him and spilling the next chunk of details about the case etc (though Christian writes it, Rose is not involved), which gives Christian a chance to add details about his relationship with Nēnē. We will continue in the order we've already established

Here are the specific questions you'll each be answering! As well as parts 1 & 2 from above:

For Nēnē: Who's the mark? Do you know them? What are they like?
For Steve: Where's the location? What kinda spot are you hitting? A casino? A grand ball at a mansion? The top floor of a tower?
For Ryan: What are you stealing from them? Money? Secrets or information? A person? All of the above??
For Percival: What do you need first? Before you can even think about breaking into this place, there's a smaller con you all need to run. What do you get out of it? What do you need from this in order to be successful in your main heist?
For Carmen: What's the catch? There's always something else. Is it extremely dangerous? If so, what's the danger? Is there a time constraint? Is it morally questionable?
For Louis: What's the getaway plan? The grand finale. It won't be as easy as loading up a car and driving out of there. How come? How will you all make your great escape and what needs to happen to pull this off?


You'll post in that order as well. Be sure to read each other's ofc so you can expand on the details of the job that have been laid out before you. Don't overthink this part, the heist will be expanded on later as we go, this is just the bones of it
